I know this is an older video and I doubt you still have those heaters, but they were making the popping sound because of the suction cups. I'm throwing this out there for anyone else who has the same issue. I had this problem and it turns out that both suction cups need to be placed near the corded end of the heater... like that makes sense! After close inspection of the directions (who looks at those) and that's how they are shown. Anyways I received Chemipure Elite and was trying to determine if it was worth using. Thanks!
@@Andricity absolutely. Rinsed it until it seemed clear. Took it out of the filter last night and put it in a bowl of water and it quickly turned dark brown.
can def see a diff n water clarity, I may have 2 try one of the chemi pures for myself...I was just looking at heaters this morning and was considering an aqueon but now I'm not so sure, the aqueon pro may be fine tho...good luck w/ that dragon blood he's too nice to get rid of👍😎👌
Thanks! He is a nice fish, i am doing everything i can to keep him around, hopefully this works. I had to try it to be a believer honestly. Depending on your tank size you may need a couple. I have a 60 and i needed two according to there directions. The water is honestly crystal clear, worth every penny to me. I have never had an issues with aqeon before but im not risking it.I tried to by the best i could find witch in my opinion was the cobalt neo-therm. They have really put alot of safeties in there new ones if you read up on them but for 150.00 they should have lol.
I appreciate your concern and admiration for those fishes safty. I no longer have these fish or tank. Black skirted tetras are actually very hardy and strong fish. They lived in there for a year or so with those cichlids and had no problem. They where later donated back to the pet store i got them from, alive, fully grown and healthy.
stephen brown it wasn’t as strong as it may appear in the video. They where low powered and one was waving the surface. The second was facing the fish. It promoted surface area in the tank, it was not to much in my opinion. Tank is no longer up and running. They where moved to a 125
rob hey! Thanks for checking up. Still have a few tanks, just have been maintaining at the moment. I sold my 125. Just have a 75 as my major tank and a 20 gallon quarantine. Currently the 20 gallon has one of my sick flower horns, just trying to nurse him back

SerpaDesign I indeed do not still have it. Thank you for the helpful information!
I just put this in my tank and 36 hours later the water is brown. Is this normal?
Did you rinse the bag first? The bag needs to be rinsed before going in the filter, if that wasn’t done then yes, it will turn the water brown.

@@jmsadmsgotcha, it will go away. It’s just a the charcoal being crushed from moving around, won’t harm anything.
one boss always in a tank wether they show high or low aggression they generally keep the order. you have a beautiful tank
Eric Johnston Thank you!
How does that work for the plants 🌱 did they die due to the amount of carbon?
Carlos Lobo no I never had an issues and these plants lived long enough to go into two more tanks

Those black skirt tetras are scared to death. Let those AC grow a little and the tetras will be a snack. Get them out!!!
