But he expanded the company in every direction... And he was key figure in Industrializing India... The Tatas could technically have been the richest people in India... But they spend so much of their profits in Charity.. And live a rather quite lifestyle...

For Jaby and Steph wondering why Vikram Sarabhai's parents didn't meet his wife before marriage, it has to be kept in mind that the time was 1942-43. Sarabhai didn't even call his parents, he wrote them letters. That was the level of communication capability. In that kind of setup, it is quite possible that Sarabhai's letter telling his parents about the marriage probably reached them on the day of the narriage itself. That's why he said that the parents were not upset with the marriage itself but with the hastiness of it all.

Let me tell you this, Homi Bhabha was the best nuclear scientist of the 20th century. He was truly pushing India's nuclear program forward, mostly single handedly. He was on track to make a new technology nukes that weren't there in the world, at that time. Most of the scientists in the world and governments knew about him and admired him openly, people should read more about him. He was invited for a science lecture in Europe, that's when while returning his plane "Crashed" near Mont Blanc. India could have achieved nuclear status in the 60s, everything was on track and going good. Untli, CIA got him killed in an alleged crash.

Sarabhai hurried into marriage because through the series we can see that he liked to get what he wants without being considerate of his loved ones.he probably felt he will lose her if she took her to meet his parents because they dont want their daughter in law to be a dancer after marriage. Dance was not respected in some societies back then. She obviously wouldnt have liked her and especially her art not been respected by future family and she was very proud of it. So if he married and took her home they (both parents and wife) wouldnt have a choice but to stay together.

No..i think that part is slightly bad/rushed writing..sarabhai’s character is not developed to be so inconsiderate of other’s feelings..Even later we see him turn so cold to his wife after marriage even though before he clearly loved her very much..They keep having so many arguments about her career but we r never given any specific reason for his behaviour..i wasn’t satisfied by his character development in the show..
@@artislife456 he was that way in real life.. and a man being inconsiderate was not uncommon those days. Women have put up with it too. Only now because they show that way, and mentality of people has changed they find it odd.

They had a strained relationship. Doesn't negate anything he did for the country and also doesn't negate the fact that he tried to maintain his family ties later..
that's why any great leader's personal life should not be judged when we measure their contributions to the country. What they did in personal life is their choice. What we benefited out of his contributions to India is what we should be proud of.applies to other leaders like Nehru, Gandhi etc.
