Great job on the review. I've got the 2020 381M, which I do love, but so glad they added venting windows on each side of the bed. I don't have those, so I cannot get any cross-ventilation. No cross ventilation in the main cabin either, as the window at the stove is inoperable. If you cannot run the a/c, that's a huge drawback. The other thing I dislike is, the windows are mostly crank-out and only go out a few inches, including those at the sofa. Slide-out at each side of the sofa offers better breezes, but also allows the rain in. Everything has drawbacks.
Re: the sofa...totally agree with your take on that setup. I just removed the 2 armless sections on mine to allow a 47" desk, as I plan to work out of this occasionally. I don't see 4 people sitting in a row like that to watch something. If conversing, it's easier to sit across from someone. It only took removing 4 screws to first release the armed section on the left, then unhooking from the next.
If anyone is familiar with those switches on the cupholders of the sofa....great in concept, but they do need a lockout on them, as they're very sensitive. I inadvertently turn on the various options just by placing a drink in there, or my dog will activate the seat heat for me. I can't imagine having those around a toddler. My sofa is now unplugged.
Your observation on accessing the fridge when the slide-outs are retracted is legit as well. If you have it in storage and less than 4' from your neighbor, the entire main cabin and bedroom is inaccessible, because you cannot swing the stair down. I end up opening the windows in the side of the sofa slide, so I can crawl in through the window from the garage entrance. Still, no access to the fridge, only the freezer. Oftentimes, I just want to turn that on to start cooling, as it takes 24 hours.
Other than these little things, I've had it for a year and 3,700 miles. The plusses do outweigh the minuses, so I do love it, overall.

This is probably one of the best toy hauler plans out there (along with the 351M, if you don’t need a long garage). No heating vents on the floor in the main area, rack and pinion slides, etc. I love it! I agree there are not many changes with floor plans over the years but manufacturers are probably limited when trying to work around a garage and 1/2 bath. It would be nice to have a dinette and 2 recliners in these, but my problem is, if you have more than 2 people, where does everyone sit for movie night? 1st world problems I know, but I’d rather have the huge sofa and just eat in the garage area if need be.

Got this unit it actually comes with a big table that has folding legs to eat on inside while sitting on sofa love the unit

The single couch toy haulers with no dinette blow. They try to make dining options on the island and its just not big enough. 15' garage units are space stealers.
Yea I agree… I gotta have a dinette in the kitchen but there are floor plans that have better layouts but to your point, smaller garage or 48’ TH…

Great Review! That 15' garage is definately pretty awesome. Grand design makes a 398M with an 18' garage and two sets of happy Jacks. I follow your channel and watch your videos daily. Definately my favorite reviewer fro trucks and RV's. I have yet to see a good review on the 398M. Think you can do one?!
