Lineup : Michael Brecker - tenor saxophone Randy Brecker - trumpet Dean Brown - guitar George Whitty - keyboards James Genus - bass Lenny White - drums
Right now if I wanted to show someone what real magic is like, this is what I would show them. So many moments, the amazing bass and piano solos, getting to hear the brecker bros trading off like that, and let's not forget the dancing guitar player! 😂 Everyone was killing it, and I loved hearing Straphangin taken every which way. Fantastic performance by everyone
A lot of fun to watch this because Lenny White is playing drums! Never seen him play as a side man with Brecker Bros before this video. A real treat. Man he swings that tune nice!
I think he did work with them on Jaco Pastorius’ debut album. But seeing him with these legends is a treat! I saw him perform in ‘98 with Stanley Clarke, Jeff Lorber, and Larry Carlton, and they blew the roof off the joint. If I had a Mt. Rushmore of jazz drummers, Lenny White would definitely be on that list.
Lineup :
Michael Brecker - tenor saxophone
Randy Brecker - trumpet
Dean Brown - guitar
George Whitty - keyboards
James Genus - bass
Lenny White - drums
As a sax player we all know what Michael was about. But Randy is such an underrated trumpet player.
THE BRECKER BROTHERS ARE AWESOME & THE BAND TOO!!!
Dean Brown on guitar... he's always on fire!!!!
He surely was, is & will be !

Dean Brown is another legendary L.A. session guitarist, who has played on 100+ records. Always a very tasty player.

Sounds like a marching band appearing on stage who then throw off their disguise. In the end they march away slowly fading in the distance...
