Perfect video for an introduction to S4/HANA. Rare for somebody from home to talk and deliver so well. Even the tempo and the articulation were good. Thank you. And the light sound of music was very much appreciated rather than the blaring sounds for some Ganesha festival. :-).
Hi Arun, first let me apologise if I spelled your name wrong. I just wanted to note how wonderful this video is. Very concisely describes all the core aspects of S/4HANA. I am new on the team of SAP and with all of our solutions and all the knowledge to gain, this brought me immense value! All the best and thank you for these teachings! Alex
Hi Alex, Thank you for your kind words. I am happy to learn that it has brought you some value as that is the main reason I am making all these videos. :)
Hi Aroon, as always, wonderful run through for a beginner to understand what S/4 HANA is really about and how's it different from ECC. Keep up the excellent work!
Hey Arun! You explained it very well! I guess it's first time on UA-cam that I'm commenting on someone's video. You explained each and every thing very clearly and stage wise. Heads off. The one terminology that's slightly uncleared is the #Success_Factor. All other things are perfect and the video containing all my demanding concepts! Wajahat
i got to know from this video is about what is SAP on HANA and SAP for HANA thanks for that :) and i need to know more on SAP ECM (opentext)- cross platform application.. It will be very helpful for me and others if you can do that!
Thank you for your kind words. I will try to make a video about ECM. In the meantime, you can get some information about the product in the folllowing link www.sap.com/australia/products/enterprise-content-management.html#:~:text=The%20SAP%20Extended%20Enterprise%20Content,content%20to%20core%20business%20processes.
Hi, S4HANA is a backend application while Fiori is a front end (UX) application. At a basic level, Fiori doesn’t do any calculations. It just help present the data from S4HANA in a way the end user would like to view. In saying that, performance issues could be due to a lot of reason. Like sizing of the SAP system, programming logic, network, firewall, etc. As a starting point, you can look at your Early Watch Alert report to see if there is something obvious that might cause the performance issue.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I checked out your channel as well. You have got some great videos that are very informative. When a SAP HANA Database is used as a secondary database along with an SAP ECC system, that approach is called a sidecar approach. For example consider this scenario. SAP ECC (runs on Oracle DB), it is connected to SAP HANA DB which in turn is connected to BI tools (both SAP and non-SAP). In this case, the data from the ECC system is replicated to HANA DB, then the BI tools retreived those data from the HANA DB for analytical purposes. Hope this helps.
That’s because ABAP is a programming language and not a module. A module is a bunch of functionalities grouped together that can perform particular business operation like finance, procurement, etc. ABAP is the programming language that is used to build SAP applications like S/4HANA, ECC and pretty much all on-premise SAP products.
Hi, Thank you for the question. You would require some high level technical knowledge like integrations, server, database, OS, etc. But you don't need to be an expert technically in order to learn S/4HANA functional modules. But if you are planning to get into the technical side of things at SAP, then yes, you will definetly need good technical skills.
