THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I have a job interview tomorrow and I badly needed to study about SAP. This video helped me a lot. Thank you so much, Mr. Michael!!!
THANK YOU!! He took too long for a basic explanation. SAP (acronym for Systems, Applications & Products) is a group of software that allows businesses to track customer and business interactions.
SAP is just so smooth. I learnt what I needed in over 2 weeks. Working as a ward clerk and I use it in ordering and purchasing consumables and meds for the unit. Also for managing inventory together with bayanaty.
@@moonijaz9012 I actually learnt everything from the job. After the initial face, I just started exploring the whole system. I find this channel interesting . My support solutions.

Thank you! I’m back in the grind of job hunting and everything that I have experience with now requires SAP experience as listed in the job description. The last time I used this software was back in 2012 so I appreciate this quick tutorial. Appreciate this!
Just a pointer,, when people watch how to videos they don’t need the complete origin story before even knowing what they’re getting in to. If I watch a video about building a wooden box, the fact the wood came from a tree in Minnesota isn’t really the most important info. I watched for 5 minutes and still didn’t even see the basic outlook yet. I don’t think knowing what town in Germany it originated is getting anyone hired, we need to see how to operate the program.
Origin stories are important - even for wooden boxes! We think understanding the backstory is part of understanding the whole story. This is why we watch most videos, including those about boxes, on 1.5x.
Thank you. I was pretty sure that I'd worked with SAP systems all these years but it has been in so many formats over the decades, I didn't realise that it was the same underlying system (new versions). I just picked up whatever I had to do...the firms I worked for would give it their own name, presumably because they had a customised version of modules...the only SAP I recalled was the grey version! And now that I'm grey, I realise I've worked with all of these except some of the nitty gritty tech applications. I never called it SAP skills because I do admin whether doing database/records management, sales, payroll or HR admin, supply chain, invoicing, EOM or EOFY reconciliations, transacting in foreign currency conversion....I just called it whatever the business practice was e.g. accounting, finance, payroll, procurement etc. Viz the actual task, not the software (name) behind it. I guess I'm old school, using new tools.

Here it is: Imagine that leaders of every corporate function - sales, distribution, HR, everything - made an excel spreadsheet to track things. The comparison between QuickBooks and SAP is helpful, but it left me wondering - if your company has a strong focus on SAP training, shouldn't you be "eating your own dog food" (to use an idiom in the IT industry) and using SAP to manage your own business instead of a product such as QuickBooks?
That's a great question, Nicholas! We love to eat our own dog food, especially when it comes to taking our own training courses for our team. But to use SAP's ERP software productively, companies typically have to have $250million in revenue and up - so this is really a software for very large, global businesses...we're not there yet. :)

SAP is a software that costs millions of dollars and is used by large companies. You, as an individual, cannot get this software. You CAN login to a sandbox SAP system - we do not recommend this for brand new users. We would suggest training first, then once you have a basic understanding you can login to a test system. www.michaelmanagement.com/sap-access.php
Hello Michael, great info! For someone with a non-technical background such as business, but have become a super-user. Is it advisable to look into certification to help get implementation support roles in my org? Or should I take some computer science modules. If so, what areas are useful (coding, like python?)
Thanks for the compliment - glad you like the video. Typically, I think most people go from new user > super user > business/IT analyst (who supports configuration for the users). If you're not very technical, coding might not be a good fit. Hope this helps!

Thanks Michael for this informative session. I have one very basic query. I haven't worked in SAP or used SAP software. So to get a job in SAP, how i will get experience ? If there is no practical experience then how we can show the experience? Companies always asks experience but without having chance to work how anybody will get experience?
Without any SAP experience you should not apply for jobs that require experience. Instead, get training & certification and then apply for entry-level jobs that do not require prior experience.
UA-cam is desperate to show me this video for some reason, and keeps putting it at the top of my recommendations, despite me having no idea what SAP is

Sap is located in Germany and their software company mainly on the cloud I believe? Am I right or wrong
You are right that SAP is headquartered in Germany...for right now I'd say that most of their customers still run on-premise versions of their software but this will be changing to their cloud offerings in the next decade.
I have Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, what are the good modules that I can choose?
Hi S R, well, it's hard to say and depends on what area you want to work in...SAP has many different career paths. However, it all starts with the Fundamental Skills in SAP: www.michaelmanagement.com/learning-path/essential-sap-skills-s4hana

Hello huge thanks for the video. I would like work by aviation industry and I wonder which SAP product should I learn ? Thanks already!
I'm Industrial Engineers can use this method in the manufacturing process?
If the company you work for has SAP, then yes.
How can i obtain this software.
Hope this helps!
hey Michael, thanks for the video, because i didn't know SAP, but i'm interested to learn it...

@@Michaelmanagement thank you
Thanks Michael for this informative session.
UA-cam is desperate to show me this video for some reason, and keeps putting it at the top of my recommendations, despite me having no idea what SAP is
@Winston Mcgee Nope!
Not sure if people here agree with me, but I didn't so much want to know about SAP commercial outlook, only about the Technology which supports it. I am a retired Cisco /Mobile / RF engineer with some (ancient) mapping programming experience in MapEx and MapBasic. Was curious what I need to train myself up on to go into SAP.. engineering
