This was a great journey with you. Thank you for doing this. BTW some tracks on the album (Freedom and In my World jumps to mind) features Ben Metzner from Feuerschwanz and dArtagnan on the flute/pipes. I just love how all thee band work together and support each other.
Another great reaction! Now what about some British prog rock? Magnum! They celebrated their 50th year in the business. They are working on their 23rd album. Try for starters, "Spin like a wheel"
Adding to the considerations list; thanks for the recommendation. And that is quite the accommodation for any group. Looking forward to giving them a whirl at some point.
VOA is such a great band, love them ! ELEINE is a great band as well, Beyond the Black is a good one, of course EPICA. Keep up the good work Symphonic Metal is SOOOO Awesome !
Agreed about VOA; been addicted to their work in the months since. I'll tell you as well...like VOA as they approached my current considerations list (which I've dubbed, "Phase 2"), Epica and BTB are currently mapped out. I'll see about Eleine, but for sure the later 2 in your suggestions will be arriving soon. Haven't recorded yet, but I am definitely getting there. :-)
When you go back to review earlier works of VoA, be sure to do their Trinity album from 2007. It's their 3rd album, and easily their best from the pre-Clémentine years.
Long live the Pirate Republic.
