Sure thing. Check out the bleach free video too. A product of theirs that is great for sanitizing everything inside the RV without using bleach. Nice talking with you guys
So Chris in conjunction with the filters do you use a pressure regulator that is adjustable and knowing you move around what is your average and favorite pressure if it’s available. We’ve been using the 20 micron set up and I’ve been eying the Bly setup for a bit. We part time but I like good “gadgets” and things that add value to our trips which typically are three weeks at a pop. I’m retired and if we wanted we could do this full time . But we wouldn’t sell the house like many do. Good to have a home base just in case. Too much info but hey, you get it. As well as many others.
I do use an adjustable pressure regulator and I’m not one to er on the side of caution. This PEX piping is rated for 100 psi…but that said the plastic fitting probably aren’t hahaha. I usually have mine set at 60-70 PSI all the time, 5 years full timing and never had an issue. This system hasn’t seemed to lower our pressure at all either. Appreciate you watching and commenting 👍🏼👍🏼
We were looking for a whole house system ( Stocks & Bricks). Looked up Blu and it led me to Reynolds Water on my area (SE Michigan/Detroit area). They are a family business. Was impressed with their presentation. Will probably go with them. Thank you.
Well I use the OLD School blue plastic containers. I use three filters also, sediment -0.5 and -a 0.2. And I have my water pressure regulator after my filters, so my filters get the good push from the pressure if it’s there. Yes these are better due to size and SS. When I need to change I will get these.
The R3 is the original…the AR3 is new and redesigned, so it’s more lightweight! The AR3 is what you want!! Here’s a link that will apply the 7% off at checkout. If you click this link then shop and put things in the cart it will automatically calculate the 7% off. If it doesn’t work go to a different device where you have never been to Blu Techs website…say a laptop or someone else’s phone, then go to this video on UA-cam and click my Blu Tech link in the video description, that will take you to the website and it should give you the 7% off. 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video! Really enjoyed the information. Does the Stainless Steel hose have plasitc inside or is it 100% stainless steel inside and out? Also wondering if the Adveture Series is all stainless frame or is that an Aluminum frame?
I talk about the filters in the video and mention that every 3 months is pretty standard. Winter…well travel south hahaha We’ve actually had to full time a good bit in freezing temps ourselves. Most RVs now a days don’t have a wall separating the basement from the wet bay and with the small design of this it goes right into the basement. The water softener also has a wall mounting bracket for inside. Some of their filtration units do as well. Thanks for watching.
In my opinion the Berkey does not compare. I actually hate the idea of having that big Berkey unit taking up valuable counter space in my rv and I’ve talked about that before in previous videos. That’s a major con for me! Not only that but using a system like the AR3 from Blu Tech will filter all of your water going to every faucet in the RV including your holding tank. So for me having a big obtrusive water canister on my counter that I have to fill up is a deal breaker.
@MAE-nm2tl for what the Berkey cost it should be nsf certified, but it has no certification whatsoever to me that matters 100%....if Berkey is the best like they claim why not get certified? There are $40 water filter pitchers that have nsf certification 🤷♂️. So to me who's fooling who?
Well as they say these things have wheels so if your RVing in the winter you’re doing it wrong lol Seriously though, I’m in a cold climate right now. You would have to keep it in your basement. Most new fifth wheels even have a spot for them. For me I’d have to drill a hole in my water bay wall for the hoses.
How does this compare to a reverse osmosis filtration system? We have AquaTru in our apartment and were thinking about installing it in our RV I have to do a little more research. I don’t like sponsored videos because they’re biased
Here’s an actual quote from their website on this system vs reverse osmosis… Our systems do not remove minerals, and this is one of the largest benefits! Unlike reverse osmosis, our systems filter out all the bad stuff while maintain the critical minerals such calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium that are needed for good health and great taste. Definitely do your research, I always do to, and go with what you feel is the best. Go Blu Techs website and read up on the Q&A section. Answers a lot questions. I do not see any NSF/ANSI certifications on the filters.

Thanks. Great questions but I am not sure. You can reach out to Blu Technology, they do a pretty good job answering questions. 👍🏼
Chris,
What model blu water filtration system do you recommend?
We have the AR3 like in the video 👍🏼
So as a full timer how do you keep it from freezing in the winter? And how often are you replacing filters?
I talk about the filters in the video and mention that every 3 months is pretty standard. Winter…well travel south hahaha We’ve actually had to full time a good bit in freezing temps ourselves.

So is it better, worse, or the same as the Berkey system?
If better....then explain why.

They are NOT SNF approved. They said no to SNF. THEY Don’t want to spend their money on testing.

I’m thinking about getting the blu system set up with water softener!
Are you still happy with it and can I get the 7% discount?
Yes I still love it. Best water filtration system out there. It’s all NSF certified too!

@@WhyWaittrue, but about heavy metals? Lead, etc?
If you already had your drinking water filtered to 0.2 microns with your solo, why choose the larger unit for $100s more?
Problem is that the filters are only made by them, which means more $.
The advantage of that is quality control and not dealing with inferior cheap China knock-offs that don't work as well.
@@Itsa_Mea that can be said for about everything out there. Chances are you buying a lot of things made in China and never give it one thought.
