This is EXCACTLY what I've been trying to do!
Indeed, this looks like the ultimate propane tent heater! The case looks super high quality, and the price is fair. -I use a Zodi Hot Vent Tent Heater for my minivan. For my propane heater, the length of the duct makes a huge difference in the heater performance. A shorter duct works much much better.
If the battery stays in the pouch on the interior will the heat from the heater keep the box warm enough on the inside.
Wow this looks like a great setup. For the power side of things, can you share the model of the Renogy power pack you were using? How did it do power wise? How long do you think you could go on a single charge? My apologies I am newer to the lithium battery world. I have a Dometic 55IM fridge that I run with a Dometic PLB40. I am curious if the PLB40 would be able to handle it over night along with the fridge, or if I would need to invest in another power source. I currently charge the PLB40 with a Bugout 130 Solar Panel and it keeps the PLB40 at 100% during the day. Thanks in advance for your time.
Does your 6' accordion style ducts have any, even slight plastic smell? We have noticed many brands of this same accordion style plastic dryer and other sort ducts have a slight plastic smell, especially when heated. Your website says they are, "silicone". Wanted to see if there was any smell at all, thanks.
Not at all! I've used mine probably 4-5 times and never smelled anything.
For dbl the price, how are these units better than the Canadian company planar diesel heaters? Both have thermostats with air in and out and both come in a weather proof case. Planar heaters sell for half the price and being much much smaller in size offer easier stow away and placement ability. Don’t mean to come off a hater, your product is awesome but how are they over 1000 dollars better than a very tried and true planar? I just don’t see it.
Great review on the Propex. I am curious what the amps or watts draw is?
According to Propex, 1.5A when running I believe
I am curious as to what the propane usage is?
@@shawnmcgrath4631 The 11 lb bottle I have on my truck right now still feels pretty much full and I've run the heater for 12 hours of straight run time on that bottle since I filled it.
Did you guys go out of business? I was trying to pull up your website and it says 404 not found.
For sure this isn’t for me.
