Do you have any data to support your take? Or did you think it would sound clever to make some cookie cutter 'wrestling' insult.

Wrestling could use a Ron Garvin nowadays

I've heard from other wrestlers of how he would have some of his guys like Bob Roop take liberties with the young talent and deliberately injure them to see how tough they were. He wanted Jack Brisco to do the same but he refused and said he didn't do things like that so they had a falling out over it. Under his orders Roop tried it on Dick Slater but ended up unconscious in a pool of blood, wrong guy to pick on. Dr Jerry and Eddie Graham are still my all time tag team favorites though but they would have ended up in prison if they had remained together. Now I'm giving my age away because that was way back in the late 50's to early 60's.

Eddie graham would also use hiro Matsuda as a crippler..... like he did on hulk Hogan. When Hogan survived the broken leg and came back, Hogan became that crippler guy for a brief period.

Eddie used these guys to stretch wannabes. That's how the business was protected

      All territories did that.

Bob Roop did that in more territories than just Florida. I know he use to be the go to guy in icw (for the poffos) yo stretch new guys. He was brutal to guys. I would feel safe saying Roop probably did that in every territory he worked.

I can't believe that Mike committed suicide. He seem to be happy and full of life. Especially since he received a check for $600,000, leaves me scratching my head. R.I.P. father and son.

Wow, that's the first time I've heard anyone say Eddie was a piece of shit. Apparently would help a lot people, family man and real mind in the business. Ronnie sounds a bit bitter to me. And I know Mike's become a meme over the comments he made about talent, but I always thought Mike had a good mind too.

They were my neighbors in Tampa in a trailer court. Mike used to beat me up all the time. I got even when I hit him with a thrown baseball in the back. Eddie paid my Dad a visit. I was afraid my Dad was going to shoot him. Mike almost killed me with an arrow once. Despite all that, I feel bad with what happened to them. I did see their good side. Mike was my 3rd grade classmate. We used to walk home after school. We were cub scouts together. Eddie and his tag team wrestling partner used to play baseball with us at the ball park. RIP God's children.
