Yes, it is the sadya parippu curry. These days people use split cherupayar without skin for making it. Not sure about kottayam sadya

No,in Kottayam cherupayar(dal) parip anu use cheyyunath,vadakotu,Pathanamthitta bhagathot oke cheru payar use cheyyunath,tharkichathalla nja oru Kottayamkari anu ,evde sadyak paripanu use cheyyunnat
