I'm glad I stumbled across this recipe. It's great after a big crawfish boil with the left overs and I've also applied this to leftover bbq porkchops, adding a little smoked sausage and some tasso. I may not live too long eating this dish, but every time I make it people think I should be a chef. lol. Hit of the party indeed! I tried shaving the boiled corn from the crawfish boil and throwing that into the mix and people kept talking about how the corn made the difference. Also added shredded parmesan cheese after cooking in the oven, then throw it back in for another five minutes with no cover foil. Adds an extra gooey layer. Top with crushed red pepper for color and spice. Thanks for the recipe.
+Tango Jamo That's really awesome!!! This food is definitely not healthy LOL! Thanks for sharing. I will definitely have to try adding the boiled corn. Making my mouth water just thinking about it!
sometimes I wish I had never learned this recipe because I gotta cook it all the time. It's my brother's request when he comes back home after a month off-shore. ; )
Hello! Well, I lived in Lafayette with my uncle and aunt almost 20 years ago, now I live in Mexico City and I would love to cook more cajun food and remember all the great moments. I loved the rice with ground meat, fried shrimps, po boys, etc So if you could make a video on how to cook those delicious dishes I will be so happy! thanks again and have a great week!
Very good and successful dinner to impress my girl from south Louisiana thanks a lot man
So happy to hear that! That's the kinda feedback I love to hear. Thank you!
Finally someone else that uses nunus. Love that stuff.
Love your video but I wish you had more camera shots directly focused inside the pot.

You never mention the other pot with the half stick of margarine in it... what did you do with that?
I'm going to try this. Thanks for the recipe
You're welcome!
You made me feel great with these video : ) Thanx
Hey Luis, I really appreciate that! Do you have anything in mind that you want me to video next? Feel free to throw out some suggestions.

Hey Luis, I'm so happy I can help bring some of those memories back through cooking! I will work on those recipes. Hopefully real soon.
I never 'bake' mine. Leave it simmer on Low heat on stove top for 20 min...just watch it carefully...turns out perfect. Thanks for your video.
I love the feedback! Thanks man and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
idk why but I never put mines into the oven.... But your food looks real good
+Demarcus Chmerkovskiy Gaines Thanks Demarcus.
Blue Bonnet is margarine, not butter.
True. But it works well. The oil content helps with the roux in my opinion.
Butter would have really made this so much better
Canned shrooms yeah?
I add bell peppers , fresh Parmesan and some red pepper seasoning
+Shaia N Awesome! That sounds like it would be delicious
Ole boy needs a wooden spoon
Oh I have several since this video was made lol
Foil before you bake, smart
That is NOT butter! This is NOT authentic Cajun.
