I’m loving your book reviews!! I’m very similar in needing some suspense to keep me hooked. I HIGHLY recommend anything by Karin Slaughter. I’ve been hooked on her books for the last 2 years. I really enjoy the character development in her stories and they are nearly impossible to figure out. She’s incredible at shocking endings!

I just started spironolactone as well! I had severe cystic acne about 5-6 years ago and eventually it got better with the spironolactone. The acne unfortunately came back so im on the journey to clearer skin with you! 🤞
i relate to your acne journey & accutane (isotretinoin) changed my life forever. i'm 25 now & was on it when i was 19. it's considered the "last resort" and definitely the harshest route but after those 6-7 months on it you'll be so glad you did it. it's a pain to keep up with & you literally have to qualify for it but it's so so so worth it if it's an option for you. 🧡 & it's permanent ! i'm an esthetician now & to help w acne scars after, just include a niacinamide serum in your skincare routine before your moisturizer and always wear sunscreen. 💕

the vanicream cleanser is so so good i swear by it!!
I also went through the frustrating journey of trying every product and dietary change, but when the root cause is hormonal imbalance, both of those can only go so far. I've been on spironolactone for 7 years and it's been an absolute game-changer. Started on 50 mg and increased to 100mg a month later and within a month from there, my active breakouts had cleared up and I had completely clear skin about 3 months later. So it takes some time, but I hope you have a good experience with it too!
soph I felt the same way about magnolia parks but the third book in the series which is technically magnolia and bjs next book (book 2 is about another character) really just ties the whole story together! I sat thru most of book 1 like I don’t get the attachment but book 2 really just shows so much more depth of the characters and explains why they are as trauma bonded as they are

if you do need to try accutane, i was on accutane for nearly a year and it worked WONDERS for me! completely transformed my skin and i’m soo happy i tried it. only side effects i had were the common super dry lips/skin with can be easily helped with derma therapy lip balm or vaseline/aquafor
I did everything before finally taking the accutane plunge and I wish I had started it so much sooner. It saved my life I swear
Accutane isn't bad at all! Ive done it twice and if I ever needed it again I would 100% go back on it!

Accutane actually destroyed my mental health and I lost 30 lbs in one month. Everyone has a different experience but it is a chemotherapy agent and very harsh on your body. Just weigh your pros and cons if you go that route!
