UNA STUBBS seemed such a gentle beautiful person RIP LOVELY LADY 💕 They didn't make T. V like this anymore brings back so many happy contented memories THAT YOU SO MUCH FOR PROGRAMME XXXCHARLOTTE 👌😀🎄🎅absolutely BRILLIANT loving Lena Zavaroni
Fun Fact: Jenny Hanley & Bernie Winters appeared on the edition of Give Us A Clue where after it was filmed Eamonn Andrews surprised Michael Aspel for This Is Your Life.
All of the men's team have hosted quiz/game shows, Bernie Winters hosted Whose Baby, Make Me Laugh (Made by Tyne Tees) & Scribble (short lived game show made by HTV West), Mike Read hosted Pop Quiz, Lionel Blair hosted Name That Tune & Bobby Crush hosted Sounds Like Music (Made by TSW).
Parkinson looked less than enthusiastic about the gig. Bear in mind that he took the job after making himself unwelcome at the BBC, for the time being at least, and losing a lot of money in an investment with TV-am, which didn't provide the returns and overinflated wages forecast. A cushty job, though. I wouldn't be too sad about being paid to do so little work.
R.I.P Una Stubbs.
As a kid, I loved her as Alf Garnett's daughter.

Why on earth did they have Michael Parkinson as compère?
I suppose Michael Aspel felt that he needed a change, and at the time Michael Parkinson was flavour of the month.
cos Bob Monkhouse was otherwise enguaged at the BBC
@@danwoodhouse9290 But they got rid of Michael Aspel didn't they?
@@lovinglenazavaroni9503 He had the personality of a wet dishcloth on that show, though a great interviewer one-to-one.
He did start to enjoy it in later series .
