I'm still stunned that neither of the men leaned in, pretended to whisper in her ear, gestured at the stage, then looked at her & nodded expectantly after she said that. But James' "My wife Nell" afterwards _was_ awesome.
To think, if it wasn't snowing on that Circle task, Kerry would have drawn a piddly little circle on paper and probably come 3rd & 4th. Snow stopped Jessica winning the series 😅
Yeah... but I thought that was his schtick all along... until this series of Taskmaster and I wonder if it's truly a continuing coping mechanism. I mean... he's got a wicked wit... but the falls he took on this series were tragic...
Johnny Vegas literally drew the 'animal in the mirror watching him'. Semantically, he's the /only/ one who deserved points, because everyone else attempted to draw the animal /through/ the mirror or "on the other side" thereof.
I genuinely fell in love with Jess during series 7. Her air horn, her feathered boa story, and her song were great but, the tipping point was how she handled her abysmal failure at "throwing circles" (oh no, hahaha, oh no, hahaha, oh what do I do, hahaha). Just brilliant!
The Polaroid camera would just need a very tiny Jessica image on the lens. (Like how people stick little action figures on a car reverse camera to freak the driver out)

Other Taskmaster Animals: The parrot (Alex dressed up as one in season 8 and the contestants had to guess). The cow (this series). But those only made one appearance, while the ducks are present very often. Dogs and chickens in series 4 where the contestants had to get a certain number of legs on the red mat. Even there the ducks are present among the chickens.
This was not my idea I have just seen it a few places. Would like them to get the biggest losers of the series and get them all together. The 5 people who had the worst scores and give them a second chance at GLORY!
@@fistfulofgroovy9746 I also love this idea, but Alex Horne has said that he feels like it would be unfair to bring back only the people in the last place. Swa Pra idea is to allow everyone who wanted to come back for a season. Another advantage of Swa Pra suggestion is allowing some of my favourite participants that were on 2nd, 3rd and 4th place (Rhod, Jessica and James on the stellar 7th series, Sally and Aisling on the 5th, Mel on 4th series...) to come back.
The thing I couldn’t figure out about the water butt challenge was...Alex just kicked out the plug...it must have still been lying on the floor and yet no one spotted it! I guess that’s what happens when the panic sets in!
I have to admit, I’d also never heard of Jessica when they called the S7 cast. But then it was pointed out to me she was the ‘Banged Up Abroad’ policewoman in the Alan Partridge movie, and I was instantly reassured. It takes someone special to out-funny Steve Coogan in a Partridge piece, but she did it.
I want a panel of Also-Rans (contestants who finished second or third in their respective Series): Romesh Ranganathan, Sally Phillips, Jessica Knappett, Joe Thomas, and Mike Wozniak.
This is hands down, the best Taskmaster: The Podcast episode ! Don't know if it's just because Jessica Knappett is so genuinely charming or if she was part of such a standout series... or if she had the absolute best behind the scenes anecdotes... but this was truly a hilarious and fascinating episode !
I have seen a polaroid camera on Just for Laughs gags which keeps churning out the same picture over and over no matter what you do, so surely there's a way to have one done that only takes pictures of Jessica.
@@OofaDoofa27 of course... i also remember that they were given coconuts or coconut shells as props for some other tasks but that does not change the fact that the watermelon tasks are a league of their own - closely followed by all the mess created through the numerous egg tasks. I mean i would loudly argue that Moan needs more points for his duck (from the front a duck beak looks like lips) and that is was unfair, but he got points for binjuice and the barrel so it's alright.
I agree. Even though Mawaan's picture didn't look the most like a picture of a duck, it did look the most like what actually met the contestants' terrified eyes as they looked behind the mirror. The Taskmaster should have examined the evidence more closely before making a determination.
I would have bought a Ww2 pencil from the Pencil Museum, (Is it in Wales? Can't remember) complete with silk map of Europe, for escapes. They reproduced them, a while back. I would have won, if I were Greg.
I love the cast on Series 6. 🥰 And sorry, Jess, a laminator is pretty cool p.s. Alex is a good sport or a glutton for punishment. I'd never drink spit tea 🤢 I did have to close my eyes at that point 😣
Bin Juice should have never won the cocktail round - it had the best name and the worst taste, so it was clearly middle of the pack. Johnny is getting robbed - the man has tended bar professionally and made an actual drink. I think Johnny's loud phrase should have been "I am not a crook" as a callback. Ironically, Mawaan had the best idea to use the bin, but had poured too much into it by the time it occurred to him.

I really objected to silent cocktail task in several ways. Firstly, as someone who worked as a Sound Recordist in the film industry, the way the task was done was totally unfair. Using only a single handheld mic, that was sometimes moved around to track the contestant's movements, and other times was kept static as they moved around. This makes the entire thing completely arbitrary. And Greg's high scoring of Bin Juice is another problem I had. There have been many times over the series when contestants have had great ideas, strong concepts, but then failed to execute them properly, and Greg has noted the failed execution as the reason he did not score them highly. Then, in a task about making the best cocktail, he gives 5 points to someone that served a drink with flecks of dirt, hairs, raw egg, what must have been curdled milk, and various other bits of literal garbage. He didn't even clean the rubbish bin or anything. And this is justified by the concept being strong. I feel bad for all the prior contestants who were scored low for bad execution of a good idea.

Jessica's air horn noise on the show never failed to make me laugh out loud. She was one of my favorite contestants ever.
Anytime I see her name, I just do the air horn noise out of habit. 😆
It was funny there but she ruined that travel man episode to Ibiza -- i think she was pissed the whole time!! It nearly put me off her
