On April 28, 2024, at Tokushima Central Park, witness the mesmerizing performance of the 'Uzuki-Ren' dance troupe at the Tokushima Castle Awaodori 2024. Celebrating its third year, this annual event shines bright even amidst unpredictable weather, but this year, under clear skies! Against the backdrop of lush greenery, the graceful and vibrant dances of Uzuki-Ren captivate all. Experience the Awaodori amidst spring's sunshine and fresh foliage.
Awaodori (Awa Dance) is one of the most famous traditional performing arts in Japan, with its history of more than 430 years. "Awa" is the old feudal administration name for Tokushima Prefecture, and "odori" means "dance". Awaodori Festival in Tokushima City is held from August 12 to 15, attracting over 1.3 million tourists every year.
