I did 2 separate 5 day courses in the mid 70s in London .He was one of the teachers on the course .It was hard .At least 7 hours training a day .I could not eat anything only drink a lot of water .I remember Ticky Donovan was on one of the weeks courses. When I got out of bed after the 1st day to travel back on the following day , I could hardly walk ( luckily I was not driving a fellow guy on the courses picked ne up from home .You do not realise how much you improve until I went back to my regular dojo training night and I remember at least 3 of my fellow buddies there said to me they were amazed at how much I had improved.The course had Kawasoe.Enoeda.Kanazawa.Ochi.( not sure of spelling .)
They worked us hard .in fact I remember a pretty young guy next to me blacked out and collapsed.

JKA, ITKF bla bla bla. Karate is as good as the practitioners. Kawasoe and Naito are just formidable

As of 2011 they are BOTH back with JKA. Regardless of ITKF, JKA or ABC it is still extremely good karate.
