    What impresses me of Andre Sensei is that he is one the the few western people who moves like a Japanese with a very light touch of his own. We should emulate the moves of people like him. I always refer to Japanese praticioner's moves to improve my technique, never to western. Thanks for sharing! Vielen Dank! God Bless

      Why not, maybe he was rude ahead in the emails or booked a crappy hotel room and deserved it? 😂 or just fat and untrained and need to understand he does not deserve a black belt falling around like rag doll fat like a pig 🤣
      How the hell can we know the reasons for why he hit him so many times!!
      You go figure and come back tell us all!
      Everyone got different ways of teaching and disciplining students!
      Is not about need, is about his way to teach!

    In his own right, Andre's technical ability, is head & shoulders above many other Karate Instructors. However, there is absolutely no need to continually hit & kick his students as regularly as he does.

    Whee he said the body is slow but the hands are fast. That philosophy is also in the art I practice. The four true times and the four false times, the true times are the fastest way to move, Time of the hand, Time of the hand and body, time of the hand body and foot and time of the hand body and feet. The false times are the slowest way to move, Time of the foot, time of the foot and body, time of the foot body and hand and time of the feet body and hand.

      sockenkuchen98 yuo dumd...This teacher teaches martial arts, not singing, music, or drawing. I see this teacher hitting students, but I don't see him taking the hit himself. If you want to hit, go to sparring. I think he gets high if he hits people who don't hit back. It's more of a showman who makes money from seminars. A coach is someone who has trained a good student fighter.

      @@_N.A.L_ you don't understand the Point of few i try to explain.
      He shows his techniques on a "enemy" or an example. Then the students there, which mostly have a Dan grade, try to perfect these techniques, which they already know. And they do this with partners. In fact, Sensei Bertel only shows how to perfect the hits, kicks, grabs and so on. A teacher is a human, who knows more things than you. So he have to show how these techniques works on a human.

    • @dirkzeuge8785
      @dirkzeuge8785  5 років тому +3

      Well, I see it from another view. Bevor I started with Karate (21 years ago) I practiced JuJitsu. There was a phrase: The best teacher is pain. If you feel how the technique works, you will get a better understanding how to execute this technique. I was participant at this seminar and I haven't had a feeling, that André Sensei have a pleasure to hurt somebody. I see his enthusiasm on Bûdô-Karate (in doing and teaching). My feeling was, that he had a lot of respect to all participants.

    • @schanb6327
      @schanb6327 5 років тому +2

      Dear Martin. He clearly asked for someone with a strong stomach to demonstrate on. No disrespect shown by executing the techniques with a good degree of force to show the difference in impact. For student seeing is believing. Here in South Africa all decent dojos ensure proper body conditioning of our students so that hard hits are accepted without question. The streets won't show respect with soft blows. Rather get used to it in the dojo than landing up in ER.
