Hey, I feel you❤ I stopped thinking about recognition long time ago - now just enjoing myself with the process. Playing small concerts (people come even though they don't know you) helps a lot - it's magical to feel this connection🙏
I am also a composer/musician, working on putting together my first album of originals and releasing studio sessions and even music videos. I have been playing piano for over 20 years now but never shared with the world until recently. Sometimes it’s hard to keep going when rather mundane music or silly cat videos get hundreds of thousands of views. I find that sharing my own originals is a bit scary because I am sharing a personal part of me. I have decided to stop looking at my video stats and just keep going. Art is about creation, it will speak to someone. Choose the path that has your heart.
It's very easy to become overwhelmed and feel your art is going nowhere ,especially when trying to reach an audience. I began my journey at 19 , it wasn't until almost 30 years later I finally got some recognition. Perseverance is key . I firmly believe quality will always find an audience . Good luck!
This feels so relateable to anyone in the art industry. I love drawing and creating but the amount of people that are also so passionate is so intimidating. Especially when colleges and opportunities are only available in larger cities or for people who can afford. Its hard for us self taught artists but we have to find a community to keep the passion alive without the competition.
First and foremost - just so you know that if you think no one cares - I CARE about u. - so never think that you are in this world alone ok? - Next i want to say is Make music for yourself first. Don't judge yourself so harshly. Listen to what you said (3:55) all the way to (4:20) there is sooo much to doing this on your own. Whatever or wherever you end up. The journey is yours and only YOU place pressure on yourself please do not let the world dictate your journey or maybe you might think or feel that you should be at this point in your musical career because you have been doing this for sooo long that you should be farther along or maybe even signed. You can get very depressed by thinking like this. Look at it like this. After 15 years you are still a musician - you "may or may not" been out of the game a little while but look at what you have created.. You write produce publish your own music online. That in itself is amazing. There is soo much in this crazy world that can bring you down. YOU are the biggest and hardest person on yourself. if that makes any sense? So you have to try to keep your head up. I don't mean to be mean when i say this to your Augy, "NEVER EVER compare yourself to the rest of the world - you are setting yourself up for fairlure and being sad. There will always be someone bigger stronger better and faster than you. That's just the way it is. Look at it like this - if you do compare yourself to the world you are comparing yourself to millions of people and you are just one person. There is no way that you can win against the world. Just not going to happen lol" See be positive. All seriousness the biggest battle will be within yourself and that is the hardest battle you will ever fight. It is tough doing what you do. But you are doing soo much now writing producing playing instruments and digitizing posting on the web. It takes soo much time and effort to do this sort of work the hours may be daunting and the pay off very little at first but then and hopefully there will be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (your journey).. But do this for yourself because you enjoy it.
the background noise (fan?) was a bit too loud but otherwise a great video. You have incredible talent, for sure. Just that skateboards clip alone told me everything I need to know.
Art and creating is good I don't like negative connotation. I think she is fabulous. It is so hard doing what she does friend so i feel as a community we should be supportive in what Augy is trying to achieve. I just came across her channel and subscribe because i like her vision and zest for life, qualities to have in becoming a great artist.
I've been wanting to make videos sort of like this too. It's really chill, can't wait to watch you on your musical journey :)

It's tough. No two ways about that! Sounds like you've got the right idea though, and the right work ethic.
Great video! I am also starting my musical journey and I relate to what you are saying. Can't wait to see what you create
Have fun on your journey! ❤️
Cant wait to follow your journey ❤️

FWIW this video hit my UA-cam recommendations
In what part of the world do you reside?
