I like when he talks too. It's the endless conjecture about him and where he was drafted that is soooooooo old now. I would think I'm not the only one who's fed up with it now ... but I suppose I might think wrong!
He isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but Chris Simms does great qb analysis. Yeah he got Zach Wilson wrong, but he got Mahomes, Allen and Lamar dead on right. He likes Nix, he immediately said he is perfect for Payton, he says his arm is stronger than people think, he says Nix is the second most effective scrambler behind Caleb.
This QB saw what he needed to show, put it on tape and landed his gig. His entire show is the "Sean Payton Dream". This is going to be magical, Mr. Nix is smarter than he lets on 🧐
I wouldn't say very strong (see Joe Milton, Devin Leary for that)...but I would say arm strength is NOT an issue for him. It's strong enough to make all the throws.
Kurt Warner said that Bo falls away after his throws and needs to step into them, He mentioned that it would increase his velocity and probably accuracy.
So, when Joel Klatt says something interesting we can't react? Of course we are, and it's a different discussion based on what was said. The stuff about scat protection was GOLD.
For this entire mess, the biggest thing I learned is the importance of a play caller who can put his players in a good position. Under Gary K, he made Trevor S. look like a good quarterback and had Gary stayed, Trevor may not have been the answer because his body could not take the hits of a starter, but he could have used Trevor as a bridge quarterback to land the right quarterback. After Drew and Russ experience, I have a wait and see approach to Bo Nix. I like the pick and since Sean signed off on the decision, Sean will have to work with Bo to make it work. I hope it works out.
Ok, love your show as always, not sure if the sun was in your eyes but you need to work on your synchronized swimming, you've had at least 2 A+, one at the combine and another a couple weeks ago, but this one is a D-...your smiles are the only think keeping you from an F
I think this is going to be a huge part of the equation, especially early in his career. If you give him man coverage and the receiving targets fan out and draw the LBs and safeties to the seam and outside the numbers, Nix will happily take off and get a quick 15-20 yards.
Boy Howdy, me thinks by gameday week, two qb's will be on the 53. Nix will start game one, which is the right move. General Peyton will probably keep 'ole Stiddy over Poor Willie....this will push Wilson to another league e.g. Canada or bottom feeder practice squad. Po' Willie dropped like an f'n meteor. Thanks brothers, you're appreciated.
You bronco fans are unreal, as a pats fan i had to listen to all off season how sean payton was definitely trading up no question, when he couldn't and you guys took the last qb(6 of 6) in 1st rd now your telling everyone he is the greatest qb in the draft and will be one of the best in nfl, you would be saying the same thing if they drafted michael pratt at 12, you just believe whatever payton tells you lol
Sorry man. I'll take Sean Payton over Jarod Mayo any day. While Denver doesn't likely contend this year, N.E. is a mess, and it's unfortunately going to ruin Drake Maye, at least until he plays somewhere else.
@@odell4625 they aren't gonna ruin him, and I didn't even mention maye, denver offensively is also a mess we beat you with our back up qb last yr, but my point is all I heard was how denver was trading up then they didn't and now all a sudden this was the plan all along, that doesn't sound odd to you?
I wouldn't quite go with lasers, but if he fails, which a guy who works that hard at his craft is unlikely to do, it won't be because of arm strength. I like his combination of cerebral and physical. His personality is totally likable. Savior remains to be seen, but I believe he'll lead the team back to winning football at the very least.
Just in case you guys think people have an endless appetite to hear you two talk about Bo Nix ... think again. Are you really going to have 100 more shows on the guy before the season even starts? Like seriously?
@@masedenver Great. Thanks for the great show!

Bo will take off when a running lane opens up for the QB. Wilson didn't seem to want to do that.

Isn't thin air suppose to help with throwing the football further ?
A bit, but not enough to have a great impact, compared with punting and kickoffs (under the old rules).
it should, but Nix has a strong enough arm...not a concern for me.
I just watched a video clip of Bo throwing a 60 yard bullet. I don't think his arm strength should be a concern.

Our viewership numbers actually say yes. Shows focused on the quarterback position usually see at least a 20-30-percent boost compared with others.
