Another great Vlog. Hat would you say it’s it he ideal time of the month to visit the coastal towns? I mean, warm enough to enjoy being outside, but not to crowded?

Depends. I like the fall the most. So mid September before everything closes for winter. Summer if you like the beaches. Winter sucks unless you ski.

Nice little tour of York! We love it there, especially in the slow season. Stayed at Union Bluff many times and watched the sunrise on Short Sands Beach 🙂⛱️

As a woman who grew up in Kennebunk, you didn't even touch it. That's Lower Village and the port only. But you did a fantastic job on a view of the Port area. The Franciscan Monastary is also an amazing view. And I will not put the best beach for people to find, but Gooch's has the best view of the Bush Compound.

@@ExploreMaineLife It's one school district (together with Arundel) and, critically, one high school - that's what (IMO) binds a community as much as anything else. Many people have lived in both towns. One community more than two, but technically two separate municipalities, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, with 6-7 "villages" (Goose Rocks, Cape Porpoise, Dock Sq/Lower Village, downtown Kennebunk, West Kennebunk, etc).

This video was extremely informative and realistic, I appreciate how you depicted a day in Maine & the difference between Kennebunkport and Kennebunk. Also… is it “Kenny” or “Kenneh”? 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ Can you list some restaurants/dessert/cafes in a comment? thanks in advance!

    • @ExploreMaineLife

TY. I say Kenny. In Arundel is one of my favorites called Bandaloop. The Lost Fire is also something worth checking out. Allisons and the Boathouse are great. In Kennebunk there is a little Italian cafe called Bev's which makes a nice sandwich. Barbara Bush allegedly got her clams at the Clam Shack on the bridge on the Kennebunk side. Federal jacks and Batson Brewery are worth a stop in too.

    • @ExploreMaineLife

At 195 Log Cabin Road, you missed visiting the biggest trolley museum in the World. The Seashore Trolley Museum with over 350 vehicles, many that operate on their nearly two mile long demonstration rail line on the former Atlantic Shore Line Railway. The ASL electric railway connected Kennebunkport with neighbouring towns.
If it wasn't for that museum, I would not have visited and stayed there.
