Brings me back 47 years ago. I still love these Snowmobiles that came before the high performance machines of today. Simple, reliable, easy to repair and modify. Last year I saw a guy loading his new hi tech Polaris on a trailer but his aggressive track would only spin on the ramp. Trail riding is more fun than speed riding. If you speed, what do you remember?
Oh yeah baby! Old school sleds, old school trails and lots of snow. Chainsaw trailblazers, that's how the big boys did it back-in-the-day. The 'hydroplaning' at around 9:04 reminds me of my teenage years when I was dared to snowmobile across a half-frozen marsh. A place where a bulldozer sank into the muskeg water 15 years earlier. I did it and promised myself thereafter I would never do it again. Thank you PowerModz for bringing back the memories.
Love it when people take the time to clear a old trail out or make a new trail. Some trails are meant to have a log laid over it like for ATVs or SXSs but for those sleds I’m sure it’s way better when it’s clear of logs
Oh ya for sure, we need to check our trapline as well - we use it in the winter. This is on neighbours property so we also keep the trails open for them so they can access it spring/summer/fall.
@@PowerModzOfficial I use to go back to the sand pits behind us that’s along Red River and the guy who owns it said he didn’t care as long as I kept an eye out on it for him.
we must've been out the same weekend... it was an awful time breaking trails.. wet snow on top... fluff underneath... we hit everything we couldn't see 6" under the smooth top... I took a handlebar end to my abs.. I had scraped the top of a boulder coming back onto land from the pond! :( not a fun weekend in the bush... but better than being in the city ;)
OMG i cant wait for the snowmobile season to start here in Sweden. right now is not so great weather. But watching this video makes me wanna go drive right now. Keep up the good work!
@@PowerModzOfficial Its lots of snow here in Sweden but its snowstorm mostly of the time. And sometimes its great weather. But my snowmobile its under lots of snow lol so next time its great weather again im going to take it out for a spin!
Love you Chanel and this is an off topic question, do you know of any other engines that I could replace a 2011 600 rmk. It’s blown on me twice so looking for options.
Elan best trail breaker no speed or horsepower to spin out and get stuck and nice and narrow to fish through the woods and all day on 3 or4 gallons of gas luv it😁😁😁😁😜😜😜😜😜
The yeah, that was “slush” double take. The worst of being stuck. How your sled becomes the equivalent weight of a fully loaded cement truck in less than 10 feet.
That yellow snowmobile either has watery fuel in the fuel tank.,or the carburetor is dirty.,or the fuel mixture screw needs turned out A little more to get more power out of it is all. I'd try adding in A little bit of WD-40 in the FUEL mixture for one whole tank ran through the snowmobile.
so ff ing windy and cold today dont even want to go out riding . i want to go in the cornfield and do some carving and uturns on one ski but i just hit the bottom. no snow and minus 30 can it get better than that ?fucking hell . its not good to hit that dirt when leaned on the side lol ejecto seato cuz
I always enjoy watching you guys rip the old sleds!
Thanks for watching!
Same Same❄☺

the ole elan is pretty badass.....id like to find one for the relic derbys👍👍
oh ya my son loves it!
Save them don’t wreck them
Hey Louis love your videos including the Rolling up my sleeves channel. Just wondering, do you still own your modern sleds?
Yes I do! Has 34kms on it
Outstanding, stay safe brother 🚒

What happened to the audio. Hitting the ads pretty hard.
Ads help me make videos thanks for understanding. The audio is because its so cold we have to enclose them and put a hand warmer on or beside them.
