Thanks for doing this Jim!!!
thanks for watching!
Hi Jim; Happy Easter! Nice intro to LrC Masking.
thank you Marc!
Hi Jim, I hope you had a very happy Easter!
I'm just here today to check if an old Luminar bunny can explain the Lightroom masks properly 😇But all joking aside, I really enjoyed the video as you explained the basic steps in a detailed and understandable way.
There's only one little thing I would have added, as it's easy to understand even for beginners: The Linear Gradient intercept with a sky mask, as this is a mask that can be used for almost every landscape photo. But I'm sure we'll see that in your next Lightroom video.
Until then, all the best,
Andreas
Haha thanks Andreas and I appreciate it. I will likely cover intersects in a future video, but the next one is something kinda similar about masking, and it's coming soon. Thanks!
Linear gradient intercept with a sky mask? Hmmm, I might like to know a little more about that kind of masking magic. 😎
Till now I have always followed your Luminar webinars - I understand that sometimes you want to change in Post (perhaps supported by ...) but you have always said that Luminar is as good or even better than Lightroom so I personally choose not to change - hope sincerely you will continue in creating webinars with Luminar - one thing more : is it possible that the right side during your representation where you are scrolling over the edits can be enlarged so I can better follow what you are doing (some of your colleagues are showing that way their explanations and that is much appreciated, even with my large screen Eizo) - Greetings
Hi Eddy and thanks and yes I often enlarge the screen but admittedly I forget to sometimes. And yes, I still use Luminar, it's my favorite tool, and I will do many more videos about it. thanks!
I feel like I have struggled with this for the last 12-15 years.
I hope this video has helped! Once you really get into it, it gets easier.
( Are you making any plans to partake in the solar eclipse?)
I'll just go outside and check it out but no plans to photograph it. You?
@@JimNix Nope, it's too far away for me to swing it.
@@leonfisher understood. It's literally overhead for me LOL but I don't get too excited about shooting that sort of thing. It will be cool to watch though, and I am sure there will be some amazing photos that come out of it.
