In this Hot Seat episode, David Shands had an engaging conversation with Tee Lashae, the entrepreneur behind the mobile beauty bar, Hornee Skin. Tierra, who also goes by her business nickname Tee Lachae, shared her unique journey from working in corporate America to becoming a bottle girl to get clients, and eventually venturing into the beauty industry.
Tierra's business, Hornee Skin, operates out of a pink school bus that she purchased for $3,000 at an auction. Initially, she started with a mobile boutique, but later transitioned to offering beauty services like facials and waxing. Currently, she is still in esthetician school at Georgia Career Institute to becoming licensed and provides these services for free to build her clientele.

i would also like to add to this comment section when asked if her dad had any presence in her life, and she reponse. You offered her compassion. Secondly, when you spoke on a major concept that has ruined women; being a strong, black woman/ female. You addressed that idol showing her compassion so she could hear your heart regarding that lie. She will get more wax clients than makeup clients although makeup pays the most. Woman only get makeup done on weekends or an event (bday..wedding..etc) she could have clients coming in daily for waxes.
She should consider doing Laser Hair Removal. Less time and recurring business. Every body part takes like 3-7 sessions. $90-150,- per session 💰
You have to be a licensed healthcare pro to offer this service, plus the machines are expensive.
Like Destiny said she’ll have to be licensed specifically for that but she could eventually get there when she’s able to charge for waxes and facials. I think some good additional services she could do for pretty cheap would be yoni steams and vajacials
Actually her pricing of waxes is incorrect..full body wax costs more than a leg, shoot a back costs more than a leg…she needs to reprice her business
Could she do three businesses? Get her cosmetology instuction certification, open her own school accepting high school students1/2 day earning credits toward certification, adult students, apprenticeships? Open a men's facial/beard care and pedicure barber shop with the "keratin/horny" skin theme?(Not being the face of that business)
Open a women's skin care/ makeup salon, using the bus for advertising.🤷🏾♀️

I was trigger when he wouldn’t acknowledge college experience was worthless but he is right. College made me a worker bee. I been running my body to the ground for other people business with nothing to show for it

I definitely be in and out of my waxer in less than 10 minutes. She should also look at European Wax prices because they CHARGE.
I am a new esthetician been working since I graduated I had my own business before when doing lashes I knew nothing about business my mentor told me to go work for someone and learn the business I got a job learned to work but got experience I just got a new job at an upscale spa and I'm starting as receptionist now I'm actually learning the business side and saving for my mentor I thought I'd just go solo im so glad I didn't

Also, she can still sell her boutique items online. People can make purchases without her being in person. Then become a vendor maybe twice a month for big events. Sell her merchandise and do mini facials. Look into retailing skincare products as well.

For instance, our mindset has to be different while in the position as the thinker, aka visionary. 2nd, what he said about school is true. They create workers.
