That first one is a 2002 model (US), not a 1997. The first generation was unfortunately not as good as the 2nd generation. Makes me scared if I ever get in a bad crash!!

I got t bones in a first gen crv by a drunk driver who blew the read light in a 80s chevy pickup we all left with nothing more then scratches that car saved our lives

The one in the top left is not a 1997. The one in the video is a 2nd gen, that came out for 2002.

Title WRONG ... there was no test of a 1997 CRV here . It started with a 2002... 02 to 06 are second gen. 1997 to 2001 are first gen .

Which Honda CRV is the safest?
I think the 02-06 has a good ratings, however the 2019 look good.
I currently own the 2006 CR-V

@@brieflean No it wasn't, I have a first generation CR-V and I'm here in the states, where it was bought. The car came out in the US for the 1997 model year, and the one shown here was the redesign for the 2002 model year
