What makes King Crimson so terrifying is the sheer power it has and then you realize it has ‘?’ for its potential stat. It’s the only non-evolving villain Stand that has an unknown potential stat minus Wonder of U. This implies King Crimson could have been even more powerful or that Diavolo could have not been using it at its absolute limits. Which is terrifying, considering how broken time skip and future sight are already as abilities.

I think what confuses the fan are the discrepancies of how KC's time erasure is portrayed. The boss clearly pointed out that everything that every action that happens during the "skipped" time is erased, and this is the same reason why he attacks his enemies after erasing a time portion. But how did he manage to cut off Trish's hand in the elevator and clean up his room before the cleaning lady arrived? why weren't those actions deleted? that's what confuses fans.

There's a difference between Time skip and Time erasure (which is King Crimson's actual power), to put it simply: A time skip is a temporal leap to the future, basically a time travel A time erasure consists in erasing a certain timespan along with everything in it (except for the movements, changes in position). Everything that happens in an erased time frame is actually wiped out of existence, as it never happened, that's why it has no consequences when time resumes. No one but the boss retains any memory of what went on because it's as it never happened. Unless KC has some secret property which consists of keeping certain actions from erasure, if the boss "skipped" to the result of the hand being already cut it means that it's an event happened in a time frame that doesn't exist anymore, there can't be a consequence of an action that never happened. A time skip is just what the others perceive, but it's nothing more than a consequence of a time erasure, just like the consequences of The Hand's erasure, same thing but with time. I hope I didn't make it more confusing but read well and think about it.
BlooperTalker Everything that is fated to happen, still happens. It's just that everyone but the Boss doesn't realize it. King Crimson cut Trish's hand, which Bruno and Trish would have noticed. Because of King Crimson, they could only see the results, Trish disappearing and leaving her hand. Also, Stands are always the most confusing at the beginning. Araki mostly changes them after the first use, just look at Golden Experience, which doesn't use the attack counter again. The Stand is still not as comfusing as people make it out to be.

You described King Crimson's ability like it just consists in shutting down everyone's awarenesses for a period of time, but that's actually a part of his power, and still leaves people with the question "why doesn't he strike withing the time erasure?", the answer is actually simple: because that action would be nullified along with everything else in that deleted period of time. These famous "results" that we see are not the result of what happened within the erased time, they are the results of what would have happened AFTER, it took me some hard thinking to realize that, and the boss made it even more clear when he evaded Aerosmith's bullets. How did they not have any effect? because the period of time in which the boss was hit was removed from existence, so it never happened, you can't be wounded by an event that never happened. If you remove the cause, the effect disappears. But somehow the movements of the bullets continued their course and the boss stopped his ability to let them have an effect on Risotto, this is what he talks about when he says "only the results remain". If he was just simply skipping to the results he would have skipped directly to his death. Remember: Time erasure ≠ Time skip If it was an actual time skip, the boss would perceive the same thing as everyone else.

You start a move A in 00:01 that it would ends in 00:20 , with KC he saw 00:11 , which he could call move A1 , said move is watchable and them jumped out , that effectively makes possible for Diavolo to "edit" , like it's a film.
I think King Crimson's ability isn't limited to erasing time for 10 seconds, but has a maximum limit of ten seconds. Remember when Diavolo was fighting against Polnareff and said "TIME, RESUME!"?
I like the keyboard scene because I love the idea that Diavolo is so paranoid about people tracking him that he won't even touch anything with his own hands to avoid leaving fingerprints behind and instead just has King Crimson handle basic tasks for him.

I know it’s such a small thing but I love that sound of the time erasure at 2:08. It’s also just menacing seeing the ability from a normal person’s perspective like that, having no clue that they just literally skipped time.
People say king crimson's ability is confusing, but it's literally the same as skipping forward in a video. You dont know what happened in the skipped time, but everything that happened during the skipped time still happened.

The buildup, the unknown nature of King Crimson, never seeing the Boss' face not even ability yet then immediately cutting to silence was terrifying. I've read through the manga but seeing it animated was on a whole other level (coming through my mind)
Basically how king crimson works is that diavalo/doppio has two stands. Epitaph and King crimson. He has two because of his split personalities and basically being 2 people in one body. Epitaph can see into the future for about 5-10 seconds. If diavalo only has epitaph he cant change this future ( seen as doppio struggles against metallica, not being able to change his future ) King crimson can effectively change the future/diavalo’s fate via time erasure. When he erases time he can see a persons future movments as they go through with them. In time erasure diavalo is not affected by collisions and can not be touched. He can also not touch someone when erasing time. Basically he can avoid the future he saw with epitaph and dodge the stand user effectively. For a stand user when diavalo erases time they don’t notice, its as if 10 seconds were erased/cut from time, the only one who notices the time erasure is diavalo. During time erasure the stand user will go on with what they were previously doing, effectively erasing 10 seconds from that action, but the erasure is not noticed.
I just realised King Crimson is actually the strongest stand physically, not counting abilities. It's the only one that can kill with one punch, while all the other stands usually do a punch barrage
He is up there, but there is definitely the possibility that The World, Star Platinum and Crazy Diamond are as strong, the difference is that Diavolo is more than ready to kill and thus will hit the target at full strength, and that KC's Time Skip allows to get within range to kill with one punch before the target can notice Diavolo.

It's hard to tell whether KC it's stronger or not beacouse of how it's used.
Imagine being in a video editor, you can see a 10 second clip of a man walking from point A to point B. That's Epitaph's ability, it allows the user to see 10 seconds into the future. For the time erasing ability, imagine cutting the clip where the man is walking between the points in the video editor, when you cut that space it appears as if the man teleported from point A to point B. Even though he did the walking in the 10 seconds you've erased. The same can be done with someone getting shot; gun fires, man gets hit and then he falls down to the ground. Now with the erased time it'd appear as if the man suddenly went from standing up to lying down in a pool of blood. King Crimson erased the time space where the gun fired and the man got shot. So to the observer it was seen as if the man died instantly without a cause, because only the results remain...
Personal favourite villain stand. It's sheer strength and ability is extremely powerful. This monarch clearly deserves the title of being invincible. But there's one thing about him I've been pondering about... ...is it really just a stand? Or perhaps something more?
Stands are basically soul manifestation. It shown that The boss is someone who absolutely goal oriented. Having stand that ability is solely completing result.
up until this point we've kind of naturally assumed that the boss can only grant parts of his stand to doppio because they share the same body. however, it's never specified, so can we really confirm that it's true? it's possible that the boss granted bruno his time erase ability during dissipated time in order to demonstrate his ability
Araki originally intended for King Crimson’s time skip ability to be able to overlap the “endpoints” of the skipped time is my best guess. Kind of like how D4C was originally intended to be able to overlap universes

Honestly the thought of that is kind of scary and cool. Imagine punching so hard that you set shit on fire from the friction of your punches, and King Crimson does it like its tuesday

It's actually cooler than that. You see, in JJBA Universe fate is real, so when Diavolo cuts off Trish's hand while in Erased Time, it isn't him, it's fate that does it. He can also avoid death, by skipping time where he dies, even though he must have been dead.

Thats if you even noticed it in the first place What's really terrifying about KC's power is that it can take advantage of the fact our brains sometimes go autopilot doing tasks that alot of people don't register a skip until they see something so obvious like people teleporting. Like have you ever gone to a room to do something and then when you reach there, you forget what is and wonder "wait, why am I here?" Or like how drivers on the road sometimes forget how they drove even if they did it safely? Now also consider that King Crimson doesn't have to delete 10s every time; it can be as short as half a second...

*SPOILERS* But Doppio and the Boss are confirmed to have separate souls. Stands are manifestations of one's soul and stay the same even if the body changes, as the Chariot Requiem arc demonstrates. Therefore, Doppio borrowing Epitaph is no diferent than Bruno borrowing it.
Ok to end this guessing game, he didn't let Bruno use epitaph momentarily. Epitaph can show the future on objects (Hence the use of hair to stop other from seeing it and using it as a screen. He displayed the future in the dust hence it was more hazy than ussual. Also only Diavolo has the authority over both stands epitaph and KC because he was born from the original soul and overcame it thus becoming the true owner. Similarly to how if a king loses to a coup and his son becomes king. The original king no longer owns the throne nor the country. Hope that was clear ty.

I think what confuses the fan are the discrepancies of how KC's time erasure is portrayed.
The boss clearly pointed out that everything that every action that happens during the "skipped" time is erased, and this is the same reason why he attacks his enemies after erasing a time portion. But how did he manage to cut off Trish's hand in the elevator and clean up his room before the cleaning lady arrived? why weren't those actions deleted? that's what confuses fans.

There's a difference between Time skip and Time erasure (which is King Crimson's actual power), to put it simply:
A time skip is a temporal leap to the future, basically a time travel
A time erasure consists in erasing a certain timespan along with everything in it (except for the movements, changes in position).
Everything that happens in an erased time frame is actually wiped out of existence, as it never happened, that's why it has no consequences when time resumes. No one but the boss retains any memory of what went on because it's as it never happened.
Unless KC has some secret property which consists of keeping certain actions from erasure, if the boss "skipped" to the result of the hand being already cut it means that it's an event happened in a time frame that doesn't exist anymore, there can't be a consequence of an action that never happened.
A time skip is just what the others perceive, but it's nothing more than a consequence of a time erasure, just like the consequences of The Hand's erasure, same thing but with time.
I hope I didn't make it more confusing but read well and think about it.

Everything that is fated to happen, still happens. It's just that everyone but the Boss doesn't realize it. King Crimson cut Trish's hand, which Bruno and Trish would have noticed. Because of King Crimson, they could only see the results, Trish disappearing and
leaving her hand. Also, Stands are always the most confusing at the beginning. Araki mostly changes them after the first use, just look at Golden Experience, which doesn't use the attack counter again. The Stand is still not as comfusing as people make it out to be.

"Everything is fated to happen" true, unless you have some kind of ability to evade fate like erasing the time span in which that action occurs, the boss is actually able to evade the course of events, time and fate are tightly related.
You described King Crimson's ability like it just consists in shutting down everyone's awarenesses for a period of time, but that's actually a part of his power, and still leaves people with the question "why doesn't he strike withing the time erasure?", the answer is actually simple: because that action would be nullified along with everything else in that deleted period of time.
These famous "results" that we see are not the result of what happened within the erased time, they are the results of what would have happened AFTER, it took me some hard thinking to realize that, and the boss made it even more clear when he evaded Aerosmith's bullets.
How did they not have any effect? because the period of time in which the boss was hit was removed from existence, so it never happened, you can't be wounded by an event that never happened. If you remove the cause, the effect disappears.
But somehow the movements of the bullets continued their course and the boss stopped his ability to let them have an effect on Risotto, this is what he talks about when he says "only the results remain".
If he was just simply skipping to the results he would have skipped directly to his death.
Remember: Time erasure ≠ Time skip
If it was an actual time skip, the boss would perceive the same thing as everyone else.

You start a move A in 00:01 that it would ends in 00:20 , with KC he saw 00:11 , which he could call move A1 , said move is watchable and them jumped out , that effectively makes possible for Diavolo to "edit" , like it's a film.

The buildup, the unknown nature of King Crimson, never seeing the Boss' face not even ability yet then immediately cutting to silence was terrifying. I've read through the manga but seeing it animated was on a whole other level (coming through my mind)
Basically how king crimson works is that diavalo/doppio has two stands. Epitaph and King crimson. He has two because of his split personalities and basically being 2 people in one body. Epitaph can see into the future for about 5-10 seconds. If diavalo only has epitaph he cant change this future ( seen as doppio struggles against metallica, not being able to change his future ) King crimson can effectively change the future/diavalo’s fate via time erasure. When he erases time he can see a persons future movments as they go through with them. In time erasure diavalo is not affected by collisions and can not be touched. He can also not touch someone when erasing time. Basically he can avoid the future he saw with epitaph and dodge the stand user effectively. For a stand user when diavalo erases time they don’t notice, its as if 10 seconds were erased/cut from time, the only one who notices the time erasure is diavalo. During time erasure the stand user will go on with what they were previously doing, effectively erasing 10 seconds from that action, but the erasure is not noticed.

I just realised King Crimson is actually the strongest stand physically, not counting abilities. It's the only one that can kill with one punch, while all the other stands usually do a punch barrage

DIO has the same body toughness as fortune teller.
- SP at his peak crushed the skull, but didn't destroy the brain;
- KC at his base just destroyed the head and upper half of the body.
- TW threw knives, and they couldn't break through the journals properly;
- KC in his weakened state threw scissors, and they chopped a leg.
- TW/SP are breaking bones by barrage
- KC chops Polnareff's limbs with barrage.

It's hard to tell whether KC it's stronger or not beacouse of how it's used.
Imagine being in a video editor, you can see a 10 second clip of a man walking from point A to point B. That's Epitaph's ability, it allows the user to see 10 seconds into the future. For the time erasing ability, imagine cutting the clip where the man is walking between the points in the video editor, when you cut that space it appears as if the man teleported from point A to point B. Even though he did the walking in the 10 seconds you've erased. The same can be done with someone getting shot; gun fires, man gets hit and then he falls down to the ground. Now with the erased time it'd appear as if the man suddenly went from standing up to lying down in a pool of blood. King Crimson erased the time space where the gun fired and the man got shot. So to the observer it was seen as if the man died instantly without a cause, because only the results remain...

What's really terrifying about KC's power is that it can take advantage of the fact our brains sometimes go autopilot doing tasks that alot of people don't register a skip until they see something so obvious like people teleporting.

Or like how drivers on the road sometimes forget how they drove even if they did it safely?

Stands are manifestations of one's soul and stay the same even if the body changes, as the Chariot Requiem arc demonstrates. Therefore, Doppio borrowing Epitaph is no diferent than Bruno borrowing it.
Ok to end this guessing game, he didn't let Bruno use epitaph momentarily. Epitaph can show the future on objects (Hence the use of hair to stop other from seeing it and using it as a screen. He displayed the future in the dust hence it was more hazy than ussual. Also only Diavolo has the authority over both stands epitaph and KC because he was born from the original soul and overcame it thus becoming the true owner. Similarly to how if a king loses to a coup and his son becomes king. The original king no longer owns the throne nor the country. Hope that was clear ty.
