I'm a reader from Alabama. I appreciate the in-depth reporting and balanced approach. A wise person ingests all ideas and opinions to form their own.
Lol.
love, Love, LOVE. Appreciate the perspective of the various staff members, the tidbits of history of the publication, and what threats there are to sustaining it. Love The New Yorker -- I'm one of those Californians!
Happy birthday, New Yorker Magazine.
I love you The New Yorker-I have since 1974 and I will for the rest of my life!
It was a thrill having a letter run in the New Yorker (issue with review of George Clooney's The American). Gone pretty Gen Z vapid, but still occasional good political and art articles. For at least seventy years was the benchmark of great magazine writing. Happy 100, New Yorker ❤❤🎉🎉
Seeing the cover price of $8.99 for a single issue is a wake up call. (6:05) But on their website you will find that you can get a yearly subscription for $1 an issue ($4 for 4 weeks) and then $10 for 4 weeks ($2.50 each). Not too shabby, that.
I remember The New Yorker sitting on my maternal grandparents’ coffee table.
Started reading the New Yorker, when I was very young, in early 70's, starting with the cartoons, Charles Addams. By high school, I not only subscribed to it, I had read hundreds of them, because my grandmother had 30 years of them. Will subscribe till it no longer is published or mortality intervenes.
I love all the forms of the writing in the New Yorker.
I love institutional memory. It’s getting rarer and rarer.
This is very special
We love the New Yorker!!
