I find it incredibly jarring that they censored most of this episode with the TV version on Netflix, yet in Part 6, they allowed more violent imagery and literal F bombs on the exact same platform.
Probably because Part 6 was originally released exclusively on Netflix unlike the previous parts where they were originally released on TV, which may have more restrictions / regulations leading to more censorship. It's still weird that Netflix uses the TV version instead of the Blu-Ray version though.
These creators deserve to be compensated; hard work should always be rewarded. And this is my favorite animation of all the JJBA's anime adaptation, so neat and clean.

I still remember they make part 1 to 5 uncensored and so detail Bluray but part 6 there nothing has change, the whole anime itself like they make it to caught up the deadline and the animation sometime glitchy, I hope they make part 7 detail again like part 1,2,3,4 and 5

most streaming services like crunchy too only ever get the TV versions, because they get new episodes asap when they air in japan and months later when the BD release is done, they don't bother replacing all their footage with the updated one. Even series like Bleach or Naruto are censored on crunchy. But in cases where a streaming service licenses a whole show that already aird a while ago, there are good chances the japanese licensor sends the updated footage.
aniwave should have the blu-ray version and you can also torrent the blu-ray version from the some-stuffs website (they do fansubs). As for official sources, Netflix has the Blu-Ray version of parts 1-2 and Hulu has the Blu-Ray version for every part except for Part 4 subbed, but they have the blu-ray version if you watch part 4 dubbed (and they obviously don't have part 6 cuz that's netflix exclusive)

It's because the TV version was straight up unfinished. The added shots were just shots that weren't finished in time for the broadcast
Production schedules are a bitch, the schedule for this particular episode must've been _real_ tight for how it turned out

しかもダービーがうろたえて「おい承太郎！今何をしたんだ！」とか言うもんだから、承太郎が何かをしたせいで顔が黒くなったのかと誤解してしまう。

当時小学校の時リアルタイムで見てたけど全然気にしてもしなかった。それにそもそも承太郎のタバコのシーンに黒塗りされてるの最近ぐらいに知った。当時承太郎の襟元の影かと思っていました。

part 6 was aired by them, you can see people's jaws blown apart by punches but with earlier parts they only got the tv versions not the blurays
