They’re all really sweet but there’s something really nice about how much fun Yuffie is having and Cloud going with it. Also her theme gets me every time.
Not gonna lie my arms shot for the sky and I had a stupid grin on my face when the Cloud/Tifa kiss happened on my playthrough.
But I really like all of these.
Tifa is who I ship Cloud with, but I got Aerith for the date. I was underwhelmed with how little they changed the scene from the OG's date scene.

Aerith's was so perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything better. Everyone else's are just great too, either heartfelt and comedic, I think they did a great job on all of them

Not 4k because recording was in performance mode. Graphics mode targets 4k resolution; performance mode targets 60fps (by reducing resolution under 4k as needed)

back when we had only OG game I shipped Cloud and Aerith... Now after all these years, the additional lore and so on... Well, let me say, the final scene with Tifa feels perfect.
I guess that one way or another, in the final game Aerith will end with Zack and Cloud with Tifa. That would be perfection
I think they purposely change it. In the original, Aerith was the system’s preferred date, she has more points than any other character. In this one, if you max out everyone you still get Tifa. Seems that’s some kind of proof of how the relationships changed in the story

I had done ALL of the side quests so all of my characters where at teir 5 relationship. I got the Aerith version, not sure if i maxed hers first ir if she was the default but i was really hopeing to get Tifa
There are a lot more than just side quests. There are Synergy skill, Synergy abilities, the swimsuit you picked, main missions "minigames", and so on. When you see the max blue happy face, it's not actually max. I think its around 80%, and the game uses the actual percentage to determine who you'll get to date
Even if you get to chapter 12 with all of the characters' side quests, sinergy abilities/actions, minigames, etc so you get the same percentage, you still have 2 major decision points that mark the difference. Who did you choose to help at the beach, and which way in the minecart you chose.
This is another example of, "If you got no booze, don't hang out with the dudes" Bwaahahaha... tis gonna be awkward
I got Red my playthrough. So of course I needed to look at ALL the dates after that. The Yuffie intimate scene was way more cute than I thought it would be
I was so confused when I got to go on a date with Red. 😂 it's not a part of original game. I'm happy, though! It is so lovely to see Cloud enjoying Reds' eagerness. 😁

All of these were fantastic. Almost like the Barret dates advice was heard by the Tifa dates advise. I got the better Aerith date, which is what I wanted. But Ill canonize the Tifa one in my head. Either way, all of them were fantastic and wish all of them really happened. But the way the story is going.... im guessing they all did happen XD

What is the music that plays when leaving the hotel room with red 13? I know typically they play some variation of the character's theme, but that doesn't sound at all like Cosmo Canyon
I got the Tifa kiss but was curious about the others. I had the impression the game kind of "wanted" you to be with Aerith with her song, but after seeing all of the others, and that she leaves Cloud in the middle of the date, I guess not. Thanks for the exhaustive coverage.

I think she's talking about Zack. There's a bunch of side missions in crisis core where you go to wutai and you meet yuffie and she punches air in front of him and he fake being hurt.

Favorite date was with the guys. It was so uncomfortable but omg I just can't help but love it!! 2nd, no brainer is Tifa followed by Aerith, Yuffie and I think Barrett was more of a man to man talk but still very entertaining
If you don't use synergy moves at all, answer all character questions with the best answers, and do all side quests timely to the story, who do you get for the respective affection scenes? Trying to get the game's canonicity.

that's who I got too for the first, but used synergy to get Aerith on the main one. I think the games tie breaker is the beach fight choice in costa if you don't use or deliberately tie synergy. I tried to go for 'literary canon' like I did for OG play throughs. Like max out as much affection for all characters to get the high affection 'Under the Highwind' scene, but have the Aerith saucer date as Cloud's complex is locked in place. All of them are amazing in Rebirth. Considering they have their slum date after the temple, and Aerith's full fleshed out character in this game knowing more about Cloud and Tifa, I kind of feel the Tifa date fits more, but I like that death scene to be as sad and painful as possible. Synergy sort of sets you up to date Tifa because the offense is so good lol

Aerith on the other hand is just a mess of emotions towards Cloud. She might like him, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is real, and how much of that is because of Zach. Cloud, also, doesn’t feel that way towards her, which is why he kisses Tifa and not her. She may be all over Cloud, but Cloud doesn’t see her that way.
That’s not a ship war thing, btw. It’s storytelling. It doesn’t make sense for her to sing a song about her love for Cloud and then burst into tears while he’s still there if her feelings were reciprocated. (She doesn’t know about the future anymore) But it doesn’t matter, it gave her friends and happy memories before she died. She died around friends that cared about her, and was able to process her grief. She may not get a kiss, but her character arc doesn’t require Cloud to reciprocate her feelings to work. Quite the opposite actually.

I mean, I understand it would come out of nowhere if it was like the original, but you are supposed to do a lot of actions to make you closer to each character. After all that, it is complete nonsense if Cloud is not interested in her at this point. Perhaps she wouldn't do the first move because of her confusion with all the Zack stuff but Cloud definitely would, just like with Tifa if you date her, it's Cloud who makes the first move.
And in the case that Cloud is definitely not interested in her that way, holding hands like that would already be completely out of place, I mean, don't play with her feelings like that, man.
Anyway, Tifa best waifu always and Barret's is still the best date. I just would prefer to have the option, you know. This way is like you HAVE to date Tifa to get the "canon" ship confirmed and all that, it kinda sucks imo

She has just spoken about how much she couldn't help but see Zack when she looked at Cloud, and it is clear she still has feelings for him and is mourning his loss. She leans on Cloud as if to pretend for a moment, and Cloud gives her permission by taking her hand
@@ZakarutU I'm a bit confused by the first half of your comment. Aerith has six optional dialogue moments and none of them are explicitly romantic. To get max affinity, you even need to admit to staring at Tifa on the water tower. I can't really think of any side quests that are especially romantic either... except for the 'date' in Costa Del Sol, but Cloud openly objects to Aerith wanting to count it as a date. I don't see why Cloud necessarily has to have romantic feelings for Aerith by the end of the game, he seems to shut her down when she tries crossing that line. In the sector five dream date, Aerith says she 'understands where they stand now' in a disappointed tone

I like all the dates I like the Tifa day because of the kids and the Romantic Vibe I love the Bro dates you know do you know what Barrett in red treating clouds their best friend but in the next DLC if they ever make one they should make an island DLC what kind of open world and one of the areas they can do is a sidequest area where all of them can hang out and have their own personal side quest date which it feels like them growing out and talking and at the end of the scene Cloud can choose one of their special people to go with them it could be a bro hang out or a date and the person they take it was their icons will change yellow for their best friends and that only happens if it's light blue and pink for the girls if it's only light blue

Even the last trophy of the game is a picture of Cloud and Aerith holding hands and in Japanese it's called "Reunion/Reunited".
Plus Aerith's date is the only thing that has a reference in the main story. During Sleeping Forest scene Aerith mentions about finding the real Cloud and how Cloud should focus on himself. If you skip her date (and not familiar with OG) you will have no idea what she is talking about.

Aerith: *sees cloud reaching for her hand and instead grabs tifa’s and has cloud hold her hand instead.*
