Although its understandable, that this game is an engine test demo, the "Cycle" waypoint would be nice so that patrols would not end once all orders are completed.
Well, and triggers, synchronizing, more modules, etc. Hopefully they'll add those features in the near future.
Advanced features such as cycle waypoints can be used when making scenarios using the Scenario Framework - this is done in the Workbench.

This is helpful! We seriously need a spawn module for AI that can automatically apply a pre-configured waypoint when the AI spawns

I love it, really do, it's what I've been waiting for on console. Ok it's buggy and the connection isn't the best but, it's the best war simulator on console.
Massive Coop Mission Editor and author of many Arma 3 Scripts here (check my channel if you want). Watching carefully this tutorial I could see a huge effort to make the UX of the tool as simple as possible and I love it. It's easy to notice how hard you are working to build a tool more accessible for the people with no code/IT background, who are used to swimming in script commands with brackets and quotes just to make a single unit to animate relaxed in sandbag right after 3 or more tries for player-hosted server, and for 10x for dedicated ones. For those inpatient with the game progress, they fortunately got Arma 3 Eden Editor to keep the complicated passion alive 😂. BIS, doesnt matter what is your strategy, I'm quite sure you're working to bring something balanced and enjoyable for us. Keep rock! Dekuji, Obrigado, Merci, Thanks! ❤
I did it in MCC for ArmA 2 and 3 10 years ago and in real time, and fully automatic with much more options such as IED, ambushes, AI master mind and more. You could just offer me a job back then and save10 years of developing. Bohemia you where famous for innovation and you are slacking behind.

Id like audio triggers with spawn ranges that are configurable so the ai will load in once players arrive and start doing things. it will clear overhead by allowing ai to spawn at any location players arrive at and start doing stuff instead of simply passing by in a vehicle and being left behind(essential for helicopter travel not leaving a trail of unused ai left behind). A living breathing world with lower resource cost by only having ai spawn 600m away when players stop and shoot/kick doors/etc

Thanks for the tutorial! Game Master looks different enough from Zeus and 3DEN that I was getting confused, and this helped understand how to use it. That said, some feedback:
- Needs a cycle waypoint
- Would be useful to have a list of waypoints given to each group, instead ot having to hunt for them on the map. Similar to Zeus/3DEN.
- The ordered path should be drawn on the map like with Zeus/3DEN
- Should be possible to change the order type like with Zeus/3DEN
- UI: buttons look like keybind tooltips rather than buttons. Would be helpful if they were outlined and changed colour on mouseover.
I really like the addition of a defend waypoint type, makes it much easier to create garrisons!

one point: how does orbat work? In Arma 3 we would place down groups and playable characters with certain roles. Is this currently achievable/needed in Reforger?
Way too limited, feels like a dumbed down console arma

there’s a full fledged sdk game master is for beginners you can make anything with the sdk

Nice video, kinda wish you added some more variation than just olacing infantry squads everywhere. I was curious about adding patrol vehicles in game and it didnt get covered in 40 minutes. I did enjoy the video though dont get me wrong, thumbs up.

hello , do you know how i can start a game master in self hosting on my PC (no dedicated serv) for play with friend (they have replication error ) , in official serv game master is not possible to build good map.... . thx u for this tuto
Not only limited but also terrible UI, you don't see so much info about units you can place or manage all in convienent place like eden editor in a3 instead we get big pictures. When the names of an units in a long browser list is enough and better.. I don't get it what bohemia is even thinking with such design choices unless it's all biased to appeal consoles
Yes, the UI is terrible for PC players, heck, the UI is so bad, I don't think console players like it either.

Thx for the video can you guys please add the ability to create gamemaster scenarios that u can play with friends it won't allow people to even load unmodded loads onto a public server even though it gives u the option

Its great that reforger has mods , but since arma4 is going to be the same kind of era , why not bring a few of the dlc from arma3 to have for arma reforger as well that way controller players on console could enjoy more modern content like ( a couple maps , factions ,vehicles ,weapons etc..) theres no harm in having reforger as a full game release on pc and console that provides abit of both cold war/ww2 and modern era content since mods dont always work properly itd be so great if bohemia for once on their lives be willing to consider controller players as well since we dont dont get to experience arma3 like keyboard and mouse players get to as easily
Hey there i understand that you may not be in charge overall of everything final but could you please suggest to the team on this title about kunar province map being officially add to the game for combat ops and conflict and game master also could we please have for game master at least modern version of the factions added , an idea for game master for a more realistic experience as well , having an option to select an area for civilians to be placed to roam around and also beable to place factions by selecting a vicinity to go to and also adding tasks to select for the placed factions (friendly/hostile boh) to perform (ex: patrol, guard, transport, etc..) also allowing for AI to drive being able to select an extraction point to end a miaaion or the scenario entirely 🤔, but also allowing for a list even small to select a mission to place in an area to do (ex: gather intel document, raid compound, stop arms deal or drug trafficking and human trafficking etc.. kill/capture HVT, transport prisoners etc..) things like that make a huge difference for sure being able to create an experience with these kinds of missions imagine just how far that would go with the arma gaming community mods dont work to well on xbox more so having to depend on mods is such a headache i have yet to be able to actually play this game i bought almost a year ago and it just breaks my heart to be deprived of being able to enjoy this title with others as well

Hi so I keep clicking game master and will not me do anything. It use to work but not it’s saying there are no factions available and that I have to vote gm but it’s literally just me creating my own scenario and will not even let me do anything a week ago it was working now it’s not…..any help please cuz I love creating my own scenarios I’m on Xbox series S

I love the new Arma platform. The inventory is a bit unintuitive for me though. The removing and adding items does not always function. I then give up and take my frustrations out on my enemy.....and then respawn.

Yes, if they don't have something equivalent to the Eden editor in Arma 4, I don't think I will be buying it.
I sometimes wonder if they're making this game the way they are, solely so they can say that theirs a DEFINITE DIFFERENCE between VBS and Arma..

No, I went on to try after watching and was horribly disappointed. Thought maybe it's just on experimental, but no.

As of V1.1 I still cannot connect to a game longer than 10min. Also, 180ms ping is unplayable in Reforger, in Arma 3 = no problem. Please direct this to the responsible people. If this had happened to Arma 3, it would have been dead in the water.
So limited, I think arma 3 fans will never be on board with this new dumbed down arma. But congrats console players, they can now play a little bit of milsim even though is so limited and linear
Yes, unless they greatly expand the game for Arma 4, I don't see Arma 3 players being happy with the new Arma.

@@stburr91it has gotten a lot better but still has a ways to go. Personally I like it a lot better than A3 even with its limited things. The things it does have seen higher quality
The fact that operation flashpoint had a better editor on the original xbox is pretty disappointing.

Very limited compared to Arma 3, just like most of Reforger unfortunately. The main appeal of Arma has always been how customisable it is - don't try to spoon-feed the playerbase.
Yeah, everybody who plays reforger knows that, BUT we love the game because we see the future and waht he and the arma 4 will become
Because this isn't supposed to be ARMA 3's successor. Its a testbed for A4.
Going to be honest with you there are a lot of people out there with great ideas and making customization easier is a blessing. They should work with both parties on customization.
