- Watched Miss Universe with my family again, I always have so much fun watching it with my family it's a little tradition we do ever since I can remember. Since so many of you liked my 2015 reaction video I figured I shared with you guys this years, have to say I laughed soo much editing and looking back at the clips. I hope you guys enjoy our crazy LOUD and funny reaction and recap of this year... less dramatic than the previous one but a fun one for sure!

Canada made it until the top 9 not because of her story but because of her good personality and good vibes. Miss Universe is totally different right now under IMG. They selected the finalists not only from outside beauty but based on uniqueness, eloquence in speaking with substance, sincerity, being down to earth and her intelligence. Its a total package. Its a different trending now. As they say, its time for some changes now. Its not gonna be the typical, stereotype Trump's Miss Universe who depicted women as a Bimbo or treated as a commodity. Kudos to IMG and Pia Wurtzbach for changing the image of Miss Universe.
jayort Canada was beautiful and had personality and confidence that's why she made it. Had she won the crown, it won't surprise me.
I'm a few years late haha, but fully agree. And she wasn't even close to plus size, just not the stereotypical size zero of the Trump era.
im filipino and i love haitian lady over french lady shes very smart and can speak fluently in english spanish french and portuguese but french girl dominated the stage and she deserved it! love them both they deserved each possition.

Hahaha! I very much enjoyed this reaction. You guys going back and forth between English & Spanish sounds so cool and fun. Also with Miss Canada, I too just can't get on-board with whatever message they're trying to send to people with her presence in the competition. There's a place for everything.

Miss France was the best of the top 3 by far. So beautiful and articulate. Cool under pressure. She exhibits ALL of the elements required to be Miss Universe. Only the 2nd time Miss France has won the crown (over half a century ago) and almost a rarity that someone from Europe wins the crown. France should be very happy. Side Note: I'm glad Venezuela was NOT even in the top 13. Congrats Miss France! Viva La France!!

Only 5 countries have won more than France.
For 8 years France has always been well placed: 2009 top10, 2010 top15, 2011 top10, 2012 top10, 2013 it was the substitute but still it was easily in a top 10 (Hinarani de Longeaux, Miss Tahiti) Miss France of that year participated in Miss World (Marine Lorpheline, Miss France and second in Miss World), 2014 top15, 2015 top5, 2016 Miss Universe.
Unfortunately in France and generally in Europe beauty contests do not excite people otherwise I think they would often win ....
Very, very late here lol. But apparently, France's final answer was misinterpreted and it was that she failed during first year of medical/dental school ("casting" = registry list). She broke down and was upset about it because it meant she had to repeat 1st Year. So she bought a new book for medical/dental school to study more. A week later, the school called and told her she actually got in and they made a mistake. And this is why she said you need challenges like this to be elevated/motivated in life sometimes.
"Thailand works out three times a day...." and "We eat three times a day, maybe four or five...." OMG you guys are the best!!!!!
Peru looks very attractive for me. She was like a Latina from the outback. Her skin and face is very Latino. And her personality is soft and that makes her unique from other Latinas who acts Diva like. I think that makes her stood out to penetrate the Top 13.

1. Happy France won, she deserved it. Europe needs a Miss Universe, it's been too long.
2. Philippines did better in the pre-lims, love her but I wish she used an interpreter.
3. Kenya's question is so unfair. She's Kenyan, not American.
4. Shocked Venezuela didn't make even the Top 13 but I hear she wasn't very nice.
5. Colombia had the most BEAUTIFUL FACE, she would have won if her final answer was better.
6. Clearly Canada was pushed because ya'know~
colombia should have won if she changed her evening gown,or atleast first runner up.

Im with you ladies, I think MGM is leaning towards accepting the plus size ladies...but for me, Ms Canada, despite being the biggest of the girls, she just did not have the look too, im sorry, esp in a beauty pageant comp.

Through that night my favorites in the 13 finalists were ''France, USA, Kenya, Colombia, Haiti, Brazil, Thailand, Philippines and Panama''.
Just to remember, Haiti placed 3 times in miss universe history:
-1962 in the top 15 (1st black woman who made the cut in miss universe history)
-1975 as 1st runner up
-2016 as 1st runner up with Raquel Pelissier.

Pia, the out going Miss Universe, was crowned in December of 2015. So she was only Miss Universe for like, 13 months. Before that, the longest reigning one I can think of is Miss Universe 2011 from Angola. She was Miss Universe for like, a year and 4 or 5 months. Side note: your make up in this video is ON POINT. Why don't you enter a USA state pageant? =)

I really love this recap. One of friends share it with me. Your mom is really cool. Most of Filipinos are a big fan of Miss USA, Miss Columbia, Miss Venezuela and of course Miss Philippines. Because they always stand out. But this year I love to see Ms Haiti win or Ms Kenya :D. I still love the new Miss Universe "Miss France". Best Top 3 ever, Colombia-France-Haiti. Either Haiti or France could represent the MU Org perfectly, but unfortunately only one wins. Really annoyed with Miss fat Canada as well, and her pretentious body shaming story. Real people with "body shaming" issues are those who have been unlucky with physical defects ALL THROUGHOUT their lives, and have been bullied for it. Miss fat Canada was an athlete, has been fit most of her life, and getting praises here & there. That's why I see her "story" as pretentious, and used it for her advantage. Facial-wise as well, she's not even in the same league of the others. Your cousin was on point with everything she said about her.
