if only most in the modern Charismatic movement would listen to this .. especially the early part of it . about the newly holy Spirit baptized person being very susceptible to spiritual deception and drawn into what they think is spiritual experiences, but is pride motivated carnal experience disguised as spiritual. i know this because i was . but if you persevere in seeking the truth, JESUS delivers you from the deception . as long as you haven't fallen into a love of the deception ..

When I was baptized I thought everything was the devil even if it was from God at first. Lol. Wild experiences. Many many false books and teachings sent to me by Christian’s.
There is no denying that there is a lot of error in the so-called Charismatic churches. However it isn't anything to do with the gifts (charis in Greek) of the Spirit. Paul wrote of the spiritual gifts in his letters.
And again there is no doubt that the use of tongues is abused in church just as Paul admonished the early church.
And there is no doubt that an 'anything goes' erroneous attitude prevails in these churches. Where, if it comes to the mind, it must be from the Holy Spirit. Instead of using the gift of discernment.
So, my point is that, yes, there is error in these churches but it not to do with the gifts of the Spirit. Rather, the problem is, as you stated, the flesh; pride, ingnorance, power, corruption. The usual works of the flesh. Cheers
For the Holy Spirit baptized person, therein lies BOTH the Blessing and the Cautions of experiencing and dealing with the spiritual realm. As Bro Née says, spiritual warfare will intensify.
Contrast this to the non-Spirit baptized person will have an effectively inert spirit. Often this will be characterized by a soulish existence, dominated by Mind, Will and Emotions.
This also is an area where pride exists (e.g., intellectualism), and the Holy spirit is quenched, with a puny spirit devoid of development.

I pray the Lord God strengthen all of you in your inner man who are members of the body of Christ, because truly we’re engaged in war daily. Jesus sent a message that in the world we would have tribulation but to be of good courage because He overcame the world.

I would want to go with "“Come to me, all of you who are weary and over-burdened, and I will give you rest" not with "Come to me all you who are weary and over-burden and I will give you the devil's oppression, enxiety, war and endless spiritual fights, fears and unvcertenties. (Not that I have not experience these wars - but Christ said in Me you have peace so I would want to receive that over anything else even if I am in the war.
Says many times….through great tribulation you shall enter in. Even says parable of the word is the most important parable. Tribulation in that verse means great pressure and oppression from the devil. It is talked about so many times in the Bible it’s insanity to ignore it. But God does keep us in rest during the wars.
Can tell you haven’t been through it. Need to go through it. It will come when you are ready. To say their is no warfare is not a good thing to preach. I won’t send 1000 verses anymore. But implore you to ask God and read more of the word.
Is it possible that pre-conversion we can be very sensitive to the spiritual realm. I always have had a repulsion towards the occult, demonic spiritual involvement. Satan tricked me through my sinfulness to take drugs though, another form of occult activity which achieves same result, deception, possession, oppression etc, etc. Passivity goes hand in hand with drug use. Full consecration is required, the Sovereign hand of God the Father to deliver, reveal and tear down alters built during deception and the holding of taken ground. The battle really does belong to the Lord. 🙏🏼

It is possible to have contact with the spiritual realm before giving your life to Jesus. Your experience isn’t unique to you as many others have had such experiences. Coming from a land like Africa where witchcraft, occultism and the reality of dark magic exists, many of our ancestors and fathers were in touch with these realities and came into covenant with these spirits. But now that we are in Christ, we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into that of His dear Son. But there are rules of engagement: first things first, repentance must be in place. Acknowledging the fact that the exposure to sorcery( in the form of drug use) is sin and asking for God’s mercy is needed to close that door. Then renounciation( 2 Cor 4:2), renounce the hidden works. Break ties with satan legally by the blood, having the understanding that you are now a LEGAL member of the kingdom of Heaven and old things have passed away, including your previous alignment with sin. Finally, stand strong in the Lord, be fully armed with the revelation of God’s grace and power as the armor to cover and guard yourself. Be strong, my fellow brother/sister in Christ! You are not alone in this struggle, the same trials are accomplished in us all but like Peter said, resist the enemy steadfast in faith! May the Lord deliver you from all the devices of the enemy and establish your dominion in Christ.

We live in a supernatural world whether Gods Kingdom or the world enemy kingdom - i pray the west will wake up from the intellectual mindset prevalent in the west, not that having good intellect is bad or sinful but unfortunately the enemy has played a crafty trick blinding much of what is called the church to the supernatural world around them and affecting them in many ways. The spiritual realm is more real to me than the physical realm. I was very much aware of the existence of both spiritual worlds (demonic and divine) as early as when I was 4yrs. I am an African and started school at the age of 5yrs. I recall that prior to commencing school, I had a divine encounter playing under my grandmother’s orange tree. I noticed after that encounter that an angelic being would walk with me on a dirt road to Sunday School which was a kilometer away from home. I lived with my grandmother and she couldn’t walk me to church since the Sunday school class started very early. These divine encounters opened me up to the demonic world. The devil has never played hide and seek with me. He told me openly at a very young age what his plan for my life was. He openly offered me his counterfeit power at a very young age. The pursuit of God has been real and He has pursued me too. It has been a pleasure and still is to serve the Almighty God. I know whose I am and I know the God I serve.
Only way to defeat the enemy is by the word of God like Jesus said in wilderness. It is written and spoke truth. Why it's important to stay reading in the word of God, battle comes in the mind, a passive Christian is a a weak one. It's a battle, and we can only defeat the the enemy like Jesus did. With faith and Jesus is the only one can defeat it by the cross and salvation. Devil knows this and a weak Christian is a defeated one.

Passivity means a state where we accept whatever happens, we are not active in making decisions and refuse to have our own will. We need to maintain our own righteous will until we are clear on the will of God in that respect. But in a state where we refuse to have our own stand or will, then that is the the devil operates because such will hold unto any supernatural moves...but the supernatural does not come from God alone

I agree with you Mike, Why does this video seem to complicate what the word of God says? Everything is in the Bible this sounds like new age religion. There is a spiritual warfare but we can only pray and God asks us to be faithful to him we can not walk in to any spiritual realm. We are flesh and can not just walk in to a realm. That’s Gods fight he will fight for us just like the bible says. Read your bibles and stop listening to what some guy believes.

We ARE spiritual beings. We connect with the Lord by our spirit. By calling on His name. Reading the word and fellowship.

It is a tangible experience. From the scriptures, we discover that people did not grow into it. They received it when they understood the promise of God concerning the Holy Ghost. At the instant Cornelius and his family believed in the Lord after they heard the word of God, they received the baptisms of the Holy Spirit even before they were baptized with water (Acts 10:44-48)
We don't grow into it, rather we grow in it. Experiences may vary according to God's will for each individual, but the same outcome is expected - power to live and witness for the Lord.
You can check through the following scriptures for more understanding
Acts 2, Isaiah 44:3, Joel 2:28-29, Acts 11:15-16, 1 Corinthians 12:13
It is a tangible and unmistakable experience brother. I'd specifically recommend you listen to expositions of Martyn Lloyd-Jones, he does a great work of explaining it through scriptures.

So then Nee talks about the center of ones being. Then it must be that you focus your whole thought in that place. Is this what it means to walk in the spirit? Spirit has delivered me from two habitual sins. And left two for me to fight. I am starting to think that praying alone in the wilderness like my Savior might be the best move at this point.

I think your best move is to be in fellowship with the body. The church. Too much alone, individual time is not good.

(But that could all be very well of the devil who is painted much more powerful then the Holy Spirit -GOD? ). in me you have PEACE (Jesus said) no un-ending war and oppression and enxity and day and night fight. Non-stop fight - a little spirit in A BIG FLESH BODY with a glims of hope - fighting against an abusive and powerful SPIRITUAL devil and countless demons day and night with a verse that you hold on or an intuitive little invisible impolse of the Holy Spirit ? NO thank you. It just seem by this that the Holy Spirit is way down on the list and all is left the self strive and confusion. So who the heck is in contriol in your life after you were born of God and filled with the Holy Spirit - the devil who marqurades as the Holy Spirit in your life from that moment or God >? Are you becoming the temple of the Holy Spirit of the tample of the devil demonic circus abusive thing. ? I am not denying that there is no Spiritual Battle but you are agaist an enemy that has been defeated and you are in Christ and the Temple of The Holy Spirit living in you....and yes you live by the Word of God not necessary by an invisible intuition that surfaces here and there....
Watchman Nee is not against all these you have said. In fact his teachings will be the first to tell you that all is accomplished in Christ and that all you need is in the holy spirit including peace,joy,e.t.c. However in this particular teaching he is only emphasising on the truths of spiritual warfare. That as Christians we are called to carry the burdens in the heart of God and war against the enemy. At the same time the holy spirit sustains and strengthens us with his peace and Joy.
If a person has not been baptized in the Holy Spirit are they a Christian? Are they saved?
