On our Sea Scout boat, we got a Chrysler 318 marine with a Carter 4-bubble. That salt cleans off the carb using CLR calcium, lime and rust remover. Swab it on liberally with q-tips and it takes it right off and stays off until the next time you go driving in the salt.

Well Dangggg feller !!! Matching sparkplug wires with that "High Plains Drifter" Red Engine helm ! She's a Beauty!
    That's some uptown fabrication right-char.
Before you revealed to us the Rad cap incident I stopped the tape and slow mo'ed it and damn Chad,, you were damn lucky.
That cap was moving !! Woulda have seriously messed you up, thank heavens you're ok. You wouldn't believe how anxious we get watching waiting for that engine to bust off, it's thrilling as hell. Another fine video from Chad.. He's not as smooth as Tennessee Whiskey, But he's as warm as a glass of Brandy 👍 Excellent content.

thank u sir for your time making this video and bringing back some good memories. early 90s we had drag racing with a class called bone stock, your 350 could be bord has big as u wanted to go, whole 9 yards with crank and rods, but u had to do it with a stock block and heads with a 2 bl of course. seen A LOT of guys blow the bottom end out of an engine. that's what made the class so fun. u could go has radical as u wanted, but a stock block can only handle so much. class was very competitive. people nowa days don't have extra money to play with. again thank u, I'm sure it take a good minute to make and edit a video.

Hey Chad... old parts guy here. I don't remember everything that fits everything anymore (lol), but I do remember how to use reference sources, and they say that the S-402 cam gear fits 318, 340, and 360 ChryslerCo engines. To be sure, check the crank gear... it would be an S-297. Looks like they pulled parts on a Friday! The set for an '82 Chevy 350 (VIN code L) would be the C-3001K for the silent-type chain and gears, and C-3023K for the roller type set. Love the channel... love the content!

    Nice job again,
I’ve built probably a couple hundred engines of all sorts over the years and countless partial engine repairs …From v10s to Yamaha v8 to simple little 4 bangers, and of course all the regular v8 stuff.
Even tho i thoroughly enjoy building engines it’s fun watching others build then too! Watching for a little trick someone does for my next build or catching a mistake they did! That thrill of firing up a fresh engine and it does what it’s suppose to do if ya did everything right…if not it can be your worst nightmare! 😂

The engine test stand is built perfectly fine. Only one change I'd make is how you have that back plate holding up on the side post by the pitch bolts. Those vibrant loose the motor is going to slide down. Maybe drill thru holes like 6 of them to adjust in the upright posts part and put a pin so there is no chance of that sliding down. Other then that it's good to go 🍻 and as far as those square plug. They sell different size sockets for that. Look up male pipe plug sockets. Buy a set of them. We use them alot in heavy equipment industry 👌
