  • Welcome back to another episode and Thank you for watching.
Its the episode we have been so looking forward to sharing with you and I'm sure if you have been watching our channel you have also been looking forward to.
We checked out of our last Air BnB and headed to Sunrise Caravans to pickup our new home - Our 21"6ft Family Horizon Sunset Caravan which we had the privilege in designing every element. Seeing our Caravan completely ready for us to be in was a feeling I cant even describe let alone the feeling of hooking this up to our Nissan Y62 Patrol and finally after many months of dreaming of this moment driving it out now knowing life on the road is about to begin.
We headed to our first Hip Camp for the night and although we arrived there late and couldn't see much from the second we stepped foot our of the Car and looked at where we were instantly we felt a emotion I couldn't describe in words.
Yes, There has been plenty of what I like to call "Teething Issues" haha and we will definitely be sharing them all with you we were instantly re assured that this is what we want and what we have been longing for.
I'm so excited to start this chapter with our 2 beautiful girls and see this beautiful country because tomorrow might not ever come, yet I know spending every second with these beautiful girls and Rocco that we have been blessed with we will always be at our happiest.
I cant wait to share the next episode with you, Of living off grid for the first time - get ready for some laughs haha!
If you haven't already please like and subscribe it supports this dream of ours and also our enjoyment of sharing it with you.
See you on the next one!

Great to see the beginning of your caravaning journey!
4.8km per litre, not km/l, so your getting roughly 20L/100k
Time to get a cargo barrier installed ASAP so that you can protect your family.
Also highly recommend doing an RACQ or equivalent caravan towing course. You will learn heaps, and it'll save your bacon for sure!
    Happy travels!

When you towed the van out of the yard it bought back the feeling I had when we picked up our van four years ago. (extremely nervous)
I'm going to enjoy watching all the mistakes we all make when we first start out. You are going to need to watch battery and water consumption off grid.

Just an FYI for you guys, its not l/100km its km/L so you guys are currently getting 4.9km per 1 L of fuel, just though i should clear that up for you guys so you guys get a better understanding of it. Love wathcing your videos guys and keep up the great work. Im visiting australia for the first time this weekend heading to the gold coast and hopefully like it enough to move there. Cant wait to watch more of this journey!!

Hey guys just watched your vid we are so happy for you guys yep there’s a lot to learn but you’re doing great.
Noticed that you have Victron stuff which is great "Blue is good" well the best.
To save power off grid run you hot water on gas I’m sure you can as electric hot water is a killer.
Ok for 1260 watts of solar at 70% efficiency would mean on you gauge Cerbo GX monitor you see around 882 watts in full sun. You would never get 100% as solar is very insufficient, so more panels the better. (Note keep your panels clean as dust and dirt will be a killer for your power.
Try to run only the 12volts LED lights in the van not the Down lights as they will such more power, our center hatch has LEDs all around and it only uses 0.8 amps as for the down light they will be more than 5 or 6 amps.
What batteries are you running and what are the amp/ hours combined?
We loved you guys more as soon as we saw Rocco as we have a Beagle as well his name is Dexter, and he is 12.
