I figured most of the song out but how do you play the lead part in the chorus??
I always wondered how do you do the guitar effect like the one at 0:02? Where you give it like a beeping sound. I never understood how to do that. If anyone could tell me what technique that's called so I could watch a video to figure it out that be great.
It's called a harmonic man. if you notice, my finger when I do it is in between frets. right on the actual piece that splits them up (idk what it's called).
the easiest one to do this with is in between the 11th and 12th fret. basically, rest your finger in between them on the string. don't push the string down at all, just kinda barely lay it on top of the string. and then pluck it normal lol
what type of chords are u playing at the start?
+Mohammed Shah Power chords. Sort of. haha The first chord is just a Bmajor power chord with an F# added to it. I play it differently now than I did in the video, so play the 2nd fret on the 5th string, the 4th fret on the 4th, and the 6th fret on the 3rd. Its a bit of a stretch, and you're gonna need your pinky for the 6th fret. Next is just a B octave chord (power chord without the 5th, just the two octaves), then a major third in F#. So 2nd fret on the 6th string, and 3rd fret on the 3rd string. Then an F# octave with the 4th fret of the 4th string, and the 7th fret of the 2nd string.

On behalf of everyone else here, I really hope you publish the tabs for this song. With a bit of touch up, what you're playing would be correct.

I'm personally attempting to learn "True Contrite" by ear, which is the first Knuckle Puck song I've tried to learn by ear.
Their new album is up in full in UA-cam if you haven't already checked it out. I'd love to see a cover of "Wall to Wall" or "In your crosshairs." Those are my personal favorites. But yeah,you definitely gained a new subscriber after this cover. This one looked like hard work, especially the lead part.

I've actually listened to the album already and I really liked Wall to Wall. That'll probably be one I do.
I found true contrite to be a bit mellow for my taste, but it was still well put together. Hope it goes well! I'm sure other people have covers of it up by now if you need help on a part.

dude, cant seem to figure out the solo guitar strum on the late bridge (transition to last chorus).
yeah they're weird. I'll just tell you the names of each mote in the chord as it relates to standard tuning (just pretend we're in E standard)
So first chord: F# on the 5th string (9th fret), then a B on the 4th (9th fret), and D# on the 3rd string (8th fret). skip the low E string. Next chord is F# on the 5th again, A# on 4th (8th fret), and C# on 3rd (6th fret). Next is E on 5th (7th fret), G# on 4th (6th fret), then B on 3rd (4th fret)
on each chord, strum all the strings except the low E. so strum the first two strings open with the chords. hope that helps!!

What recording software do you use because the tone sounds noice? Also what video software do you use to get the two videos going at the same time because id like to start doing dual parts on my other channel I do covers on? Really good cover!
hey thanks man! I use REAPER for the audio. I just put a little EQ and compression on the guitar tracks. I use Sony Vegas for the video but I'd imagine any decent video software would be capable of overlaying 2 video tracks.
I'll let you know the whole process if you still have questions :)
MattMosca17 Thanks man, the only other thing I'd like to know is do you play into an amp and record that or do you have software that you use to get the guitar tones? For example I use POD Farm.

some of the tone might be coming from the original recording, but all the equipment I used is in the description. I tried my best not to overdo the distortion, and played with the EQ a bit in Reaper also
