Am I the only who noticed that Anthony's voice in this song sounded like it was from the Stadium Arcadium era, rather than the I'm With You and The Getaway era?
That's why it's my favorite on the album
Opening line kind of reminds me of that in "Brendan's Death Song" with the falsetto entrance
It is easily my fav song..Din't realize that until you said it tho. Along with "the Longest Wave" I think they are the most beautiful on the album...
I heard somewhere that this song was composed in By The Way era, but it never ended up on actual album.

So i bought my record version of this album yesterday.Bought the album again on iTunes.And i gotta say that it´s fucking amazing.This is one of my favorite songs on the album.I fucking love it.I hadn´t heard any of the song before i bought the record .I actually had to dust of the record player. So i sat down listened to the whole album beginning to end.I had only heard 3 of the song from the album at pinkpop this year so i went in knowing as good as nothing.I had to ignore all of the Red hot chili peppers related content in my sub box and i was glad i did.It was a magical experience and i can´t wait to listend to the whole thing again tonight.Great video
Agree. But This Ticonderoga and Deroit pretty much suck, and The Hunter is the absolute worst song the Peps have ever recorded. But the other 2/3rds of the CD are hot. 😎
Yeah Ticonderoga is pretty bad but Hunter kind of grew on me though and detroit is pretty good in my opinion. Goodbye angels is my favorite though :).
Die kekke gamer Agree, GB Angels is good. They can keep Dreams of a Samurai, though. lol It's sort of sad that The Getaway starts out so strongly for the first five or so songs, then slowly spirals into average-ness (or worse).
Maybe next LP they can actually write the songs before they get to the studio. lol The Getaway, they wrote them in the studio, they said in video interviews. :-(

The Cool One Well the videos are taken from the internet, and I doubt it's the real Trickfinger owning the channel, since he mentions having Frusciante World taken down and having to ask the owners to use the material - which I doubt John would have to do, but maybe it's just the videos.
