My football hero growing up , what a player... I still remember the England game of 86 vividly, I literally couldn't talk after his second goal, it was otherworldly... I thought he would never be matched or bettered as a player but I think messi has surpassed him. Messi's longevity, consistently and unbelievable stats put him above Diego for me... But on his day, maybe nobody could make you feel about football the way Diego could... Diego, may you rest in peace, you football GOD
