Thanks - looks and sounds like a great instrument - and I’ve been pondering a steel strung baritone since I came across the blues player Manitoba Hal (I believe his was custom made) so it’s nice to see something more generally available. One thing I like here is the use of mango - such a ukulele wood choice, which really distinguishes it from a guitar.
On a completely different note, I absolutely love the T-shirt Paul.
    And best wishes to KD.

cheers buddy. I had the pleasure of sharing the bill with Manitoba Hal years ago at Upton Uke festival and he was great - yes I think his is custom made. Cheers buddy

Another fine review Paul. That is a beautiful instrument and the sound is wonderful.

I can see people who take one of those to their local uke group being subjected to the same withering looks normally reserved for resonators and banjoleles 😁

I snagged one of these as quickly as I could. I am thrilled.

Hello Paul, very nice review! And yes - the pins are annoying and tend to pop out. The steel strings sound very warm and sweet. Wish I could test my own compositions on them.

yeah the trouble is once they pop out you cant help but worry about it happening again.

Awesome! I love Flight Ukes. But do they have plans to do anything about the strap/endpin jacks that wont stay put. What a “pain in the butt” to have to keep dealing with.

I must say this is the only thing I don't like about them. Currently I don't think they have plans to change the endpin jacks. I have found putting a ball end on the string tends to sort it out if that is of any help.....

@@PaulMansellukulele I'm referring to the input jack that also serves as the strap button. It is a pain in the butt to keep tightened. Guess I shouldn't have referred to end pin cause it's the strap button/input jack

@@dh2602 ah ok I get what you mean. I must admit mine has been fine and never come lose but I will keep an eye out for it

I don't think it's particular with Flight, as we've owned guitars and acoustic basses with the same problem - but completely agree that they're a pain in the backside to tighten!
