What a workout! 😂. Once you know how to set it up it’s great. Nice seeing some snowy shots of the deer feeder we set up....what a day that was 🤣. Thanks Buddy!
I was feeling your pain getting that tent popped up. Seems like I'm quite frustrated by the time i get em set up.(trying to be quiet). They are still worth the effort in my opinion.👍👍👍👍👍
I bought one like this but let me tell you it’s not no 2 man. No way. Not enough room for 2 full grown southern sod busters I tell you that! Mine is just camouflage not snow. I was laughing because I knew you was gonna have a time opening it as I did too😝
I agree! I love my radar bloodtrail blind but the radar is more like a 1 man blind. I took my son out turkey hunting and it wasn't bad but definitely not 2 man
I've used this blind a lot and it does not leak but I had to fabricate a support for the center because in October I usually get snow and anything over 8 inches collapses it , never any damage but it's a pain setting it up again.
Weight is great but just a little on the tricky side assembling! reminded me of a broke umbrella ! LOL So funny Steve I needed a good laugh! but I much rather carry it instead of a big heavy one!
Almost looks like your trying not to put it up for the first blind. You even said you step on one side and pop it out but you still did not do that?? Lol it took me like less then a minute to pop mine up for the first time.
Yeah that’s true looks like me trying to take down my first pop up blind out of the bag. There so easy to take out and set up! But trying to fold those things up is like a puzzle.
I own at least four brands of ground blind, and this is me every year, setting up every blind! And I've read the directions! I will say that for the money, the Barronett is probably the highest quality. I have the OxHide 4 and the fabric is twice as thick as my other brands. If you hunt in snow country, be sure to get a 2x4 or other center brace (they even make commercial supports, but homemade is easy and strong) to put in your blind when you aren't there and snow is coming. I've had multiple blinds damaged from snow collapse. Also, if you bowhunt, do your research because many of the ones with smaller or triangular windows will not work for bows. They are fine for crossbows, though. The Double Bull brand (now owned by Primos) has a reputation for high quality, but as stated here, they are much heavier. A good plastic sled, with or without snow, makes it easy to haul your bigger ground blind in and out of the woods. And of course if you get a deer, they are handy for hauling that, too. Good luck, hunters! Ground blinds are so much safer and less hassles/noise than tree stands. I gave up on tree stands years ago and never looked back. I'm too old (and too smart) to climb trees!
These little tents are great on those cold drafty days. We use one that we call "The penalty box" LOL and we put my aging brother in law in it as he has a tough time keeping warm.... and he likes to nap LOL Loved the pics of the north property. I'm pumped! Ive got trail cams out, shooting lanes are prepped and got me a doe tag. Oh yea! Best time of the year my friend. Cheers
I do the sides first climb inside and pop the roof up. Then pop the roof down first then a couple sides, climb out pop the rest and fold. I do both setting up and taking down with the door unzipped.
Steve I found your review looking for reviews of products FOR ONTARIO! Firearms season here can get any kind of weather...ive sat in t shirt and shorts through to my IWOM ( great investment btw) in the snow I have 2 blinds....earlier primos and an old $125 Princess Auto Barronette My trick for the Barronette is turn the roof 45degees to the sides...step on a vorner or the side and pop up the roof. The roof will rotate back as the sides pop in
Thanks . I'm up at my camp now and its definitely the fall . Will have the woodstove on tonight. Nov hunt is always -10 and lots of snow . Haven't seen t shirt weather in a long time. Cheers
And 2 times less visible as a bonus, theoretically 20% more ducks or geese, the noise (rifle bommmm!) The 30% missing and the dog went back, good hunting my friends.
I`d say you got them deer all figured out Steve and you have one almost in the bag for this year....for me...I stick with the casino when I want to wager money....it`s a lot surer bet but I guess not as much fun for putting up the blinds....them deer are smart you now and at that time of the year very cautious unless you get a young buck full of it and he can`t see 10 feet in front...time will tell.... and what about the feeder stand mod....where is that....can`t wait to see that one....you have to show that one Steve....CHEERS
Holy shit Steve! You went ahead in time to November! That's pretty freaky about the crushed tree stand. Watching you wrestle that blind was the funniest thing I've seen in years. I was literally laughing so hard I was crying. I have half expecting you to snap in in half over your knee and toss it over the fence like a Bob Izumi fishing video! Hahahahahahaha
The Barronett Ox 4 and Ox 5 are built of much heavier fabric than most of the cheapie blinds and pop up easily. But I'm having trouble taking my Ox 4 down and the included instructions are not helpful! It will be a great blind, though, because of the adjustable, silent window design. I've tried many other brands and Barronett is the best I've found for the money so far.
How's she goin'? Setting up that 'snow blind' was like trying to make love to octopus, nothing but arms and legs!!! Once set up though i think it's a winner. Being lite will make it a lot easier to carry, but trickier to set up eh!!! The camp in the snow looks awesome!!! Take care!!!
🤣 I had a hell of a time taking it down the first time. Realized unzip it. I shot that gobbler out of the barronett radar blind and was using a primos double bull chair. Can't go wrong with either brand
LMAO!! OMG!! Good think I do not have a weak bladder. I would have wet my pants laughing so hard but that is why I like your videos so much. You never know what you are going to get into next! You should be able to go around butchering all the deer that died of laughter watching you put up that blind. No ammo needed. LOL!
Amazon reviews report those pin-holes from quite a few people. Not sure what to think of those...I like the blind, but I can’t get past having all the pin holes. I guess if they don’t leak it’s not a huge problem.
wow Steve, I though you were turning into batman for a second with all that black flapping. I think I'd carry the primuus before finding myself lost in a tangle of lightweight fabric. Let us know how it stands up to the wind. Cheers
What a workout! 😂. Once you know how to set it up it’s great. Nice seeing some snowy shots of the deer feeder we set up....what a day that was 🤣. Thanks Buddy!
HAHAHA it was a gong show setup but I got it figured out now. Cheers Doug .

They are still worth the effort in my opinion.👍👍👍👍👍
I got the hang of it now but it was a learning curve :)
@@SteveRobReviews I had a hell of a time taking my radar blind down the first time. I learned unzip the door 1st. 😆
Wow it looks like quite a workout to open it
I wish I was your age Jim, getting too old to wrestle any more 😅😅
I really enjoyed the opening act 😂😂👍 those holes did look sketchy . good review
I thought I was back in the 60's there at first. LOL Thanks Johnathan
you got her down path now. i got a rapala an i had the same problem, once i get it started it comes out easy enough. that's a nice one. take care
It's a keeper now that I figured it out :)
Most guys wouldn't of put that (first opening) on here. Kudos to you for keeping it real.
HAHAHA I never edit my videos it's just me and it's all real . 🤣🤣👍
I got one and I loved it and I haven't had any problems great blind next thing better is the 180 ground blind.
I like it a lot . Cheers Lee

Calvin its like wrestling a greasy pole cat. LOL

Directions Clearly say top first then sides
Easier said then done 😉
Your the only one I've seen struggle like this. Haha you would be great on an infomercial. Awesome video bud.
I don't stage my videos as you can see it's all real 😅😅👍 Cheers Mike
@@SteveRobReviews but thanks for the review because I did purchase this blind after watching your video.
I've used this blind a lot and it does not leak but I had to fabricate a support for the center because in October I usually get snow and anything over 8 inches collapses it , never any damage but it's a pain setting it up again.
so all the deer in the county heard that setup lol.
HAHAHA 👍

Yes a greasy umbrella is about right Annie HAHA
Almost looks like your trying not to put it up for the first blind. You even said you step on one side and pop it out but you still did not do that?? Lol it took me like less then a minute to pop mine up for the first time.

Yeah that’s true looks like me trying to take down my first pop up blind out of the bag. There so easy to take out and set up! But trying to fold those things up is like a puzzle.
Your doing better than me. My barronett go the best of me.

Best of luck bud , going up soon too . I got this giant umbrella figured out now but it was a senior moment there for a bit. HAHA
Funniest thing on UA-cam so far this year 🤣🤣 great stuff buddy, an octopus would have had it up in seconds 🐙
HAHA yes this thing sneaks up on ya .
I do the sides first climb inside and pop the roof up. Then pop the roof down first then a couple sides, climb out pop the rest and fold. I do both setting up and taking down with the door unzipped.
Chris I will try that next time because it sounds a lot better than my way. 🤣🤣

Thank god he didn’t have a 5 side. We would have to come back next week for part two🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
😅😅
Funny but real, I’ve been there. Thanks and take care.
HAHAHA it's all good now but man that thing was a challenge.
Steve never disappoints when it comes to a review! I swear I heard the Benny Hill tune when you were 'wrasslin' that baby hehehe...good stuff Steve

Nice ! Glad to see your stand was empty, that would of made for a bad day !
Billy it's go time this year and we will pass on using the old stand .
Great video. Thanks for the laugh!!

I use the Grounder blind and I shoot thru the replaceable mesh screens, and I have never missed pluss I always get pass thrus.

@@SteveRobReviews Once again goodness and niceness has overcome evilness and badness!!!!
It's good that she's water tight.
Yes only if you like staying dry :)
It did not look like it had shoot through screens, I would need those on my tent.
My bow shots are within 20 yards and they see you draw without them.
The screens are removable , I'm not familiar with shoot thru screens. Actually the best blind I have used so far. Cheers Sam.
@@SteveRobReviews Most of the blinds are shoot thru screens . They are replaceable. Cheers!
For people carrying it out a ways to go hunting the light weight is a big advantage.
I agree , yes absolutely. Thanks for taking a look as I had a bit of fun putting it up :) Cheers
I shot a 22lb gobbler out of my barronett radar blind💯

After struggling with it for five minutes I would have used it for target practice. 🤣🤣🍻
HAHA I came real close bud real close 🧨🔥
Well, now that was easy??? You had had me sweating it Steve
HAHAHA it had me baffled for the longest time. 👍

I thought the exact same but I put it out in the bush for a month and had lots of rain and no leaks so it's fine.
wow Steve, I though you were turning into batman for a second with all that black flapping. I think I'd carry the primuus before finding myself lost in a tangle of lightweight fabric. Let us know how it stands up to the wind. Cheers
LOL Larry it was an adventure in how not to set one of these things up. 😂😂
The bear would have you for lunch with all the time it took for you to get in your hiding spot 🤣
Oh man why cant it ever go smoothly on my channel instead of a gong show 😅
lol, now that is entertainment :)
I bet you got a good chuckle of me being attacked by a giant umbrella 😅😅
