Hi, great tutorial! I would use traffic light if I am working one on one or testing a student. If RED it means do not interrupt the teacher, YELLOW means use your judgement, interrupt if neceassary or have no other choice or raise your hand, GREEN means ok to approach teacher.
It has been a long time since I've been excited about a tech feature. Thank you for showing us the wonderfulness of using this app. I look forward to playing with it for my 23-24 school year!
For the stop light, just after watching the video I had this pop into my mind: If I’m working with a small group green would be okay to ask me something, yellow would be ask me only after you’ve asked two peers first, red would be so not interrupt my group unless emergency.
Thank you for all of this. And the other videos as well. I know you're not quite getting the attention you deserve just yet but hang in there. This is great content. Give it awhile to get noticed. I eventually found your vids so 10s of 1000s are sure to follow.
Stoplight: noise level while working in groups. Green, noise level is good/acceptable; yellow -- warning, too loud; red - transition out of groups into independent activity.
I use a stoplight in my class for phones. Red=Absolutely no phones, Yellow=You can use them for music or the activity we're doing, Green=Phone Free Time.
I have a paid account and I pretty much exclusively use it for the group maker (I teach 8th and 9th grade math). Honestly I feel like it's worth the $30 a year just for that.
I have a way you can use the traffic light thingy When you’re working with a group press green when The other students can talk to you but press read when you’re working with the group and cannot talk
You asked about the traffic light. I would use that to let students know if they should have Chromebooks or other devices out or not. Green means they should get out their Chromebook and log into their school accounts because we're going to use devices a lot today. Yellow means they will need their Chromebook or other devices for part of class, but it won't be the whole class period. Red means we are not using devices at all today, so keep your Chromebook closed and keep mobile devices out of sight today.
Hi Vard! You can only save your screen with the paid upgrade to Pro. If you want to keep the same screen for a couple days using the free version, you will have to keep the tab open until you are done with it.
I would like to ad my own background in the "draw" widget - så that i can draw directly on a picture i have chosen. is that possible? Is it possible to adjust the size of what you have drawn in the "draw" widget - i know you can move it around, but can you change the size?
Thanks for the nice overview - but I wish you had shown more of how to do each step. I need to embed a google slide show - you made it look so easy but it was too fast for me. I tried just dropping the share link - doesn't get it there. There's evidently a secret button - but I can't find it - and the Classroomscreen Help resource doesn't cover that...
Trying to embed but the codes don't work/ connect to you tube. Also, I don't know if the version I am looking at is newer, but the embed, photo and video widgets are all separate now I like your version better. The new one makes the screen more cluttered.
I was wondering can I use this app to make guided reading groups and when the timer goes off the groups with switch but the students will stay in their same group from the beginning??
It saves your class lists that you create so they can continue to be used. If you click the settings icon on the random name picker widget it will show you if it is still tracking the names called on. This was just updated, so it should save the names called on even a week later!

I would use the traffic light to let them know they can use the bathroom. I have used this for years, but you taught me new stuff I didn't know.
New sub here and I am so nervous about all the technology, this is so helpful! Thanks!
If it helps, no one knows everything and we're all slowly learning. You got this! 🥰🥰

Hi thanks for the useful video. How can I save my works on classroom screen to use them more than once?

Stoplight: red-listen to the lesson or watch demonstration. Yellow: ask questions andseek clarification. Green: get started on task

I can not make the draw widget full screen. What am I doing wrong?
I'm starting a babysitting business. This will really help.
what would happen if you refreshed your screen?
Will it remember the names I enter in? Will it keep track of names called a week later?

Can this be used with an iPad?
Hi Tricia! Yes, it can work in your web browser on your iPad.
is it possible to add students in classroom screen?
I use it as a display tool to project to students rather than add/share directly.
Can this be used in China?
