  • I show how I remove the knot from an Omega 49 brush to use in another handle. Then I dress the end of the knot so it will fit the new handle. In this case, Jayaruh #339.

You showed that knot who's boss, Jim! Great looking handle, too!

Very helpful video for extracting a knot, thanks. Where can I get such a wood handle for the knots?

Thank you. I don't know where you could get wood handles. I make my own. I made my first handle back in 2014 with minimal tools. jrshaving.blogspot.com/2014/12/wild-cherry-brush-handle.html

How big is the knot diameter at the bottom actually? On some sites it says 26mm and on other websites it says 27mm.

When I harvest the knot and dress it up for a handle, It usually measures 26mm at the opening after setting the knot in the handle.
