Btw, you are not delusional at all! Just from what you shared in this video you are incredibly productive! Also, if you think about it, downtime to relax and take care of yourself is also being productive even if it feels like you are not doing anything. I think being creative also requires time to not doing anything. Sometimes our most brilliant ideas come when you are literally not doing anything but day dreaming.
Im taking a break from tattooing too! I think as a artist who like doing other artistic stuff, tattooing can be very exhaustive mentally, bc of marketing and planning, and talking to clients... Im going back soon bc my other arts don't give me money, but taking a time sometimes if u can, is important! burnout in tattooing is sooo so easy to get... Well, im talking too much hahaha I follow u for a time but never commented, so... I hope you continue to connect with your inner child artist, an continue to create so many beautiful things andddd videos so cozy like this!!!
U feel drained because when you talk, u give your energy away. Talking a shower AFTER helps a little but talking time off helps, walking bare feet on grass, hugging trees.
loveee, thanks for talking about the feelings that come up esp. the part with burnout. beautiful to see how you try to be soft with yourself. im still learning but that made me feel very seen. and the results from the pottery, wowieee
i once had a friend similar to you, he found his passion and he really immersed himself in it, but it became obesessive to a point where he would stop hanging out with his friends so he could have more time for his passion. i also know a lot of people who feel bad for resting and taking breaks but i also know people who had an actual burnout and all i can say is: rest is VERY important. if you feel guilty for resting, you're not resting. capitalism is confusing breaks with being lazy but we shouldn't let capitalism have a say on that and also it's ok to be actually "lazy" sometimes. if you don't take breaks your body and mind will take one for you eventually and recovering from burnout is extremely hard. take care! ❤
as a long time subscriber i wanted to say: i value ur videos so much i love rewatching them every now and then and feeling understood in the struggles of being 20something in a big city as an artist. even tho im in the design (&maybe film) and not fine art field this is just very cool to see plus ur video style is so fun
i just love these types of vlogs so much. such a beautiful glimpse into your life !!! makes me fantasize about moving to a big city and starting my own creative career ♥♥♥ thank you so much
I don’t know if you realise how beautiful you are omg , your beauty , your personality, your creativity, the way you can reflect on yourself like you are literally the definition of perfection 😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️ And above all your cuteness ♥️😭🫶🫰🏼
Work life balance is challenging especially as someone who wants to create content and also working and being a student. You’re doing the best you can. ❤️ we have to give ourselves grace
Hi Jasmine:) I've been watching your vlogs since i was in uni. ever since i graduated 2 years ago and went into the 9-5 corporate kind of office life, i still find a lot comfort in your gentle vlogs. I live in Singapore where pursuing an arts education or career is very much seen as a fluffy dream and not a conventional route - as much as i wanted to, i never had the courage and i def cldnt afford pursuing art. it's still a regret till this day and im sure there are more like me. i rarely comment on videos but i jst wanna drop u a note to thank you for sharing your art journey with us. watching studio vlogs like yours (v introspective too) helps me to stay connected w the side in me that still craves for the art. and it definitely feels good to know that there are artists like you out there and it's nice to know how youre doing - kinda almost like im living my dreams through you. haha im not trying to over-romanticise your life because every journey has its own set of struggles. just want to let you know that i cherish what you do and your sharing v much❤ have a lovely day!
hi! I really recommend a read for you! It’s called Rest is Resitance by Tricia Hersey. It might help reaffirm some things about rest, especially as an artists (artists tend to sit outside the capitalist system!!). sending love !
I like to watch your videos in the morning because they inspire and motivate me to be productive and create things. you make me feel better 🥹💖✨ thankyou for your vlogs 💖
currently running on 30 minutes of sleep after spending over 24 hours recording and editing all my final projects and see this notification before my next class was a blessing 🥲🥲
your videos bring lots of comfort to my friends and I. it has been truly inspiring to watch you create art 😊 I hope life continues to treat you well and that you continue to grow and inspire more people
Hey, for the blister ! You can try to put a second time the piece in the kiln on your regular firing program ! It can melt the glaze again and make the blisters disappears. It does not always work but it "cost nothing" to try :)
sley ❤ this was comforting to watch :") really happy with how this season of life is dedicated to the things and people that ground and nourish you 🥺 your filming and editing is v beautiful! what are you using to edit? this might be weird but seeing you do ceramics/pottery reminds me of your grandpa from a few vlogs ago! makes me feel sentimental with the ways in which you create but also how it connects you in a way to him (sorry if this sounds weird lol) take care ❤
Wow, you really have to teach us how you do your taxes, with all your shops and carreers. Also so cool that you can give yourself a break. Show us how you do it 🤯
hey , absolutely no hate, but i heard that adding too many keywords into your description back to back can get your channel flagged and get you in trouble with youtube. Definitely look into that if you didnt hear about it before
i just discovered your channel, and i wish i did before! this is just the kind of channels i love.. (a long with a few more styles), and it’s so cozy and comfortable to watch in a way? hope i explained well.. \\\\٩( 'ω' )و ////
Not to be mean but how is she supporting herself, like i thought her mainly source of income was tattooing and now she's not gonna do it for a reason that seems childish to me and also she seems like a big spender so idk this gave financial anxiety xd
Tattooing is not stable income, you get paid for the job. So you save up. She leased her tattoo space so she is still making money. She also makes vlogs and that leaves income plus her ceramics and studio may also leave income.
being lowkey rich and having an studio in nyc must make it 10x easier to find balance, u basically have all the opportunieties falling in ur head, those are circuntances youre in, most epople dont even have money to buy materials, life is really unfair, especially when youre a creative person that are poor, i have so many friends that have to decide if they can fix their guitar or eat in the next month, i dont feel inspired by your videos, I think there is a lot of inequality in the world and a person with a much better life is unable to give advice that fits with someone who has a simpler lifestyle because of money
💫 ty for watching 💌 How do you find work life balance?

You can re-fire the noodle bowl to try and get the blisters out (it works sometimes)

Does anyone know the guitar sound before the video starts?

u look like my ex girl fren
Not to be mean but how is she supporting herself, like i thought her mainly source of income was tattooing and now she's not gonna do it for a reason that seems childish to me and also she seems like a big spender so idk this gave financial anxiety xd
Honestly she is rich, even when she was in college
Tattooing is not stable income, you get paid for the job. So you save up. She leased her tattoo space so she is still making money. She also makes vlogs and that leaves income plus her ceramics and studio may also leave income.

is it her fault though?
Don't watch her videos then?
She worked hard for her studio too
