Doris Miller was a true hero. Just imagine what he would have accomplished if he'd been given the opportunity. Amazing. I am a bit surprised that it will take 11 years to build this aircraft carrier. I guess it takes a while to build something as remarkable as its namesake. Thank you for your service to our nation, Doris Miller.

Search for the Documentary on the USS Gerald R Ford, that the Ship Yard made, it shows President Ford with his Daughter who became the Ships Sponsor after the President passed away (it shows how much planning goes into building an Aircraft Carrier) it shows the Keel welding Ceremony and almost the entire Construction and President Ford's Daughter getting her hands dirty doing little jobs on the Ship.
And it's about time that Doris Miller was recognised for his act of Heroism, It was amazing that he got the Navy Cross during Segregation....

As a Navy veteran, I should hope that his heroism and dedication to service inspire decades of future enlisted aboard the Dorie, which I don't doubt will become CVN-81's nickname.

What is the truth about the fact that CVN-81 is to be donated to the newly established Czech Navy with its main Baltic base in Královec (previously
Kaliningrad, previously Königsberg) and rename it to "Karel Gott" ?

Well, if that’s true, the Czech Republic is going to instantly become the second most powerful Navy in the world.
