Makes me remember an episode from the show "Sliders" where they would go to alternate reality (before Marvel was doing it!) and one they went to athletes were replaced with people who knew a lot of stuff and they were treated like athletic stars.
Amazing, isn't it? Maybe someday America's parents will put more emphasis on academics instead of atheletics. Nah, never happen. Colleges won't have their football stars to lavish scholarships on.@@EattheApple666
She is not PREACHING ! But you can find plenty of good ol' home style lunacy just down the road a bit. Look for the huge billboard pointing the way to your salvation !
My favorite teachers are definitely the ones who made learning fun. Each teacher had their own way of making learning engaging, enjoyable, and relatable. You don’t need to be an entertainer. You just need to find a creative way to connect the subject to real world examples for your students to understand the concepts. Textbooks aren’t the only tool to teach
Your favorite teachers were the fun ones? Wow! That really sets you apart! Most people prefer the dull ones but you must really be an original. Thank you so much for posting this and giving us a glimpse into your fascinating mind.
I had a chemistry set with a microscope at 10. All went well until my bro and I made hydrogen sulfide gas a bit stronger than it should have been. Mom had to move us out for 3 weeks until the stink went away. I wish I'd had this woman as a teacher; boy! the fun we could have had!!! I envy these kids but I wish all of them a great future in Physics and she is a gem of a professor.
This is awesome and kudos. Genuine passion from her and so contagious. I remember my AP Bio teacher in High School and liked his style of teaching and explaining things. I'm 46 yrs old and still remember him. Huge impact on these kids...
She said science class. Religion class is on a different video. Oh, my! I just realized what this is. You're LOST my child. Oh, well, maybe you can learn some science while you're here.@RepentandbelieveinJesusChrist5
You would see this more often if teachers had the resources to build or buy the equipment she uses. Any idea of how much liquid nitrogen costs and the containers to hold it?
The nitrogen is cheap, the containers aren’t. I taught Physics in a very large school district for 30 years. Most of my demo equipment and devices were self funded and self built. No money for otherwise. She’s great, by the way.
This is the kind of news that should be reported more often. How wonderful for the students to become interested in a school subject like physics. And how wonderful for this teacher to think of creative ways to make physics interesting to her students.
Teachers like this inspired me in elementary school about science. Now, I am a PhD student studying Genetics & Molecular Biology. Thank you for all the amazing teachers and professors.
My Latin teacher - Mr. Bailey... he wasn't this energetic, but he got me passionate about languages: Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese... with a smattering of Greek, Russian, Bulgarian, and Portuguese. 30+ years later and I still remember him.
Thanks for sharing this! I love to see the joy and passion the teacher has for what she does and how she inspires young minds through her love for science! ❤
I just fell in love with this woman! Her encouraging them to go for the Nobel prize is everything! The best teachers/professors/instructors/coaches make learning fun.
😅😅😅 I'm a little bit concerned about a class on the theme: radioactive😂😂😂 (Yeah Bro! Here hold this blue sand on your Hand...turn Off the light AND... surprise!!!!Cesium-137) . 😅😅😅 Just kidding. She Is amazing.
This is a teacher who cares about teaching the subject by making it interesting and fun. No BS agenda of personal or political views. Teaching facts and challenging her students to think and research for themselves. We need teachers like her all over the world.
In the US, teachers are currently struggling because the pay is usually really bad (for the requirements), and gun violence in schools is more common. So. Not gonna happen here- good luck to the rest of the world too
This is the kind of Professor who deserves her tenure and everything that goes with it she earned it the old fashioned way by being the best teacher she could, and earning the respect of her peers as well as her students. And if you think lectures are wild, can you just imagine what the project assignments are like?
It's not just the science, it's the enthusiasm and passion she brings to it. She's your bestie that would start yelling when she got excited. She's your friend who knew when to break the rules. She's fabulous.
I was faintly reminded of Physics classes in college, particularly when the professor used a large tank of CO2 to propel a go-kart labeled, "Momentum Fire Co."
She's amazing. I did a science experiment with my nephews once and had them so excited, running around yelling SCIENCE! Her accent reminds me of Gru from Despicable Me. Love it!
At the University of Wisconsin - Madison in the 1980's it was a Chemistry Professor's show that was most popular. Not quite as extensive as this as it only dealt with chemistry and liquid nitrogen; but I will remember it forever. The very large classroom was packed for every "end of semester" show.
This is what teaching should be like (I do it as well). Why: It's the infectious method that student's gravitate towards (fun) but more importantly...Remember!!!! In many commands in the Navy, I would check in and find the whole world I was resposible for...Was a nightmare! Not using the manuals at all! I made it a game (non punishment), all had to have manuals out at all times with a twist? I challenged them to "Stump the Sup!", if they could "find me in error" on ANY question via the manuals, I would buy them lunch, all day, everyday. It worked overwhelmingly :) They would scour those books. End result: They knew all the correct answers from then on, and for their next paygrade test's.
You have a handful of kids that want to learn any way they can, via lectures and text books. Then you have another handful of kids that want to learn but need that extra spark to get them interested and help them UNDERSTAND and relate to their subjects. Tatiana Erukhimova is one of those sparks. Especially for kids that may have learning disorders, making learning fun and interesting is key and can only help all students.💯👏🤓
These are all standard demos that many high school physics teachers do. One advantage college professors have is that they have more and better equipment than we high school teachers do. I've been from any "explosive" type demos. What's even better is having the students figure out things on their own by having them do interesting lab activities rather than just showing them stuff, but of course, there are some things you wouldn't want students doing. This Texas prof is doing a great job at bringing an interest in science to younger students. I taught basic electric circuit concepts to 4th grade students for a few year, but then the admin. made it stop.
I am a physics teacher. No learning actually takes place through demonstrations like these. Our job as teachers is to help learn, not help entertain. The problem is the kind of world we are living in. Unless you do these cameos and dramatics, people would find you boring. That's true of studies. That's true of news.
Thank you, sir! I had took her class because it was the only one that fit in my schedule, and I have to say, she doesn't know how to teach at all. More than half the time she was doing these useless demonstrations, and the other half, she would repeat the two or three questions that she covered a few days ago. Then she do more demonstrations and do the very same three problems over again. There were no real notes, no homework, or no practice questions, so there were actually more questions on the test than anywhere else. I had so many bad professors in the science departments at TAMU, including a teacher that couldn't solve his own test questions correctly, ones that lied about what tests covered or how your grade would be calculated, and, worst of all, you would never give you points back even after the teacher admitted that his/her answer was wrong and your answer was correct.
School boards have ROBBED our children of the love of science! My grandson was so haply to finally get to do science in 4th grade! The teacher demonstrated the first experiment for them and they had to do theirs on a computer screen. He said after that he hated school. Thy are not allowed to brings anything real life stuff like dirt or sea shells or mold to look at under a microscope! I have tried to fill in and take him outside to learn about the world around him. This woman is a gift to humankind! Nothing wrong with athletics, but who is going to continue to improve our knowledge and cure disease, explore the world without science!? Let our kids be kids!
I started school in the early 1960's and the Atomic Energy Commission used to tour high schools with programs about nuclear energy. In 2nd grade we had televised programs: i started learning Spanish at 7. We were encouraged to learn.
What a blessing this lady is to these kids! ❤
This is college physics? What a joke.
I love the fact that she gets more subs than the college's athletic program. That's exactly how it should be.
Nah. It’s because the Aggies Football team sucks. They just fired their coach.
Makes me remember an episode from the show "Sliders" where they would go to alternate reality (before Marvel was doing it!) and one they went to athletes were replaced with people who knew a lot of stuff and they were treated like athletic stars.
and .00001% of the budget compared to athletics.
Yeah we were listening to what she said too. But thanks though.
Amazing, isn't it? Maybe someday America's parents will put more emphasis on academics instead of atheletics. Nah, never happen. Colleges won't have their football stars to lavish scholarships on.@@EattheApple666
She’s preaching physics and the moment she asks for a volunteer EVERY HAND SHOT UP.
THIS….is teaching ❤
She is not PREACHING ! But you can find plenty of good ol' home style lunacy just down the road a bit. Look for the huge billboard pointing the way to your salvation !
@@godfreecharlie dude… I hope you are not taking my words literally.
Brilliant! And she nailed it with the comment that it’s great that physics gets more hits than athletes. That’s been a long time coming! Go science!
She is absolutely precious!
I had a sixth grade teacher like that, Mr. Horst. He awakened my love of science - and changed my life.
Was that... Gordon Horst?
@@CitizenKate I only knew him as Mr. but he taught in Denver.
@@Laserblade That's an amazing coincidence. I also had a "Mr. Horst" teaching science when I was in 6th grade, but this was in Kansas.
But you didn’t remain in science.
Nor will they.
I love her passion for physics 🥰🥰
She's like a female Richard Feynman. Energetic and passionate
Ok as a football fan, and highschool coach, her bragging about having more subscribers than the football team was a total mic drop 😂✊🏻👩🏻🎓. I love it!
What a Great way to teach! I love it and I'm over 60😂❤
Wtf does being 60 have to do with anything
Right, *I would LOVE [and _legitimately wish)_ to join her class, and I am already a 2-degree college grad in my early 40’s❣️ 💯🤓

@joan-mariacbrooks Were you trying to create a new kind of whoopie cushion (💨) at the time of that goof-up?
ABOUT DAMN TIME YALL CAUGHT ON TO HERE!!! 😭😭😭 Such an old school gem of a teacher they don’t make ‘em like her no more 🙏🏾🙏🏾
That’s purely awesome!!
This is awesome and kudos. Genuine passion from her and so contagious. I remember my AP Bio teacher in High School and liked his style of teaching and explaining things. I'm 46 yrs old and still remember him. Huge impact on these kids...
Inspiring the next generation to think about fundamental concepts is truly hearthwarming.

And my German teacher Miss Schimmel... we were all little-savages, and
laughed at her behind her back, bc of her shoes. But she inspired me!
Omg I LOVE this lady!!! What a GEM!
Awesome teacher! She is truly impressive. The reactions of the students are priceless.
These are the sort of teachers we need for our children .
I'm a Longhorn, and I absolutely love this!
She understands that learning can be also entertainment.
Yes she trolled the athletic department
Yeah because she actually teaching really cool stuff!!
Love it. So cool. And now children are interested in the sciences! Good job! Gifted, enthusiastic teacher..

That's not physics class. It's a magic show for kids.
She also teaches after showing the experiment... see her videos solving complex derivations and equations

Would have been great to link below to her channel 😊👍
I wish I had her in HS. I wouldn’t have gone to Texas A&M but I may have had a better appreciation of science.
I love this Professor!
