Bence Patyi woah calm down there spergy take your meds. Doesn’t change the fact that Flying V is also a general term for that style of guitar. Not everybody has to know the difference
Benjamín Ignacio Bruna I kinda like Marty's live rendition of it better than the original. Jeff's solo on set the world afire is better than this one imo.
He's still looked young in big 4 tour, I mean the other guys on that tour looks much older than him lol. He started to look old around Super collider era, most likely due to neck surgery and lyme disease.
well, they were all better technically, absolutely. however I love dave's nasty-mean phrasing and intensity. Dave has more balls than anyone as a lead player imo.
Its kind of the same with every other band member that's been in Megadeth and gone. They get a couple years of playing the song in its best form, then the line up changes and the song kinda sucks live, it's almost like groove juice for Dave's vocals. This is the best performance I've found of this song, I checked out one from 92 and from 2010, not even close to this.
They were clearly in their prime here. Although it took Marty and Nick to bring their best incarnation. Awesome show anyway, one of their best for sure.
One of the most interesting metal songs ever. Highly sophisticated rhythm changes and tonality. Never been that much of a Megadeth fan but this song always gave me the goose bumps. Exceptional lyrics, which is also highly unusual for a metal song.
This is the only song i listened to today on repeat after remembering how on me and my partners 2nd year anniversary said how he has had better girlfriends whilst on a date and apparently today is the day she died and i cant help but remember all the times ive been compared to someone and how theyre always better than me, how many of my past partners went off with someone else, this song is the only thing keeping me from breaking down into a suicidal mess, i can't believe i got campared to a corpes on ojr 2nd year anniversary and she's still and always will be better than me
in my darkest hour is my all time favorite megdeth song off so far so good so what! and I just got one of the shirts I heard this song when megadeth played boston the end of last year and hadn't heard it performed in some years we also got set the world on fire thats my second favorite song so far so good so what! I really hope that Dave will continue to play these songs at future megadeth shows because I never had the chance to see the early Dave Mustaine years peace sells and so far so good so what! or Rust in Peace!
The "time has a way of taking time" section is seriously one of Mustaines most impressive rhythm sections and I've been listening for a too long... He is playing a line that has around 12 different power chords change around the whole fretboard, and his singing is NOT keeping rhythm with the guitar which is seriously hard to do if you aren't proficient especially in this situation. Many people pay their respects to Holy Wars, saying how impossibly impressive it is to sing and play his guitar work but I beg to differ. Holy Wars is managable, it's a bitch but THIS is a whole 'nother beast.
News flash Burton's death was the inspiration for this song, but the lyrics are not directly about him, as the song is about remaining true to your friends and being there Jeff was one step away from a glam rock band his look/style
5:40 "Rest in Peace Cliff." -brought a tear to my eye
Lit...
Rest in peace, Cliff! \m/
that's right dude
His neck never forgave him after this.
*gets stenosis*
These are the best lyrics Dave ever wrote. Imo that is saying something.
Cody Wilson read the lyrics for angry again
Thats pretty good too
@@similamba1149 sqa
set the world afire and my last words are also 2 great examples of dave's writing capabilities
REST IN PEACE CLIFF
What does cliff have to do with Megadeth?
You mean "RuSt iN PeACe"
(Jokin, i love cliff)
@@Mammot2 when i die i want "Rust In Peace" instead of "Rest In Peace"
5:39 - "Rest in Peace, Cliff!"
Instant LIKE ! :O
Rest in Peace, Cliff...
He will never fade to black
I love this Flying W
Its a double neck Jackson King V , not a flying V... google king v and flying v and learn the difference
u fucking idiot
Bence Patyi Play along with the joke
Bence Patyi woah calm down there spergy take your meds. Doesn’t change the fact that Flying V is also a general term for that style of guitar. Not everybody has to know the difference
Elliot Edlund r/woosh
Ah yes, my favourite Megadeth song.
Devil's Island.
Apart from that, STUNNING. Rest in peace, Cliff
dave sounds soo much better high and drunk... love this vid
Same here man!!
I don’t think so, knowing what he was doing to himself during the time of this video, it’s deeply upsetting
Youth
Did anyone think this video was 100x better when he said RIP Cliff! I've never hit the like button so fast
Yep.I felt sad when he said that 🥲
Jeff is the only one who can pull this solo properly
I mean it's his solo so it makes sense
well... yeah
Benjamín Ignacio Bruna I kinda like Marty's live rendition of it better than the original. Jeff's solo on set the world afire is better than this one imo.
don't forget marty
ÁUß Code No, me
Rest in Peace Clifford Lee Burton
Huzur içinde yatsın :(
Haha, Dave was 27 years old at the time and he looked like he was 17 or 18
He's still looked young in big 4 tour, I mean the other guys on that tour looks much older than him lol. He started to look old around Super collider era, most likely due to neck surgery and lyme disease.
He was 27?!
Now he looks like he's on life support

"Rest in peace, Cliff!" - Respect.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA
+Christian Carson Why?
Did he say something?
+José Eduardo Sarango Navarro i didn't got it too
+felipemaiden13 probably referring that it says that current song they are playing is called " devil's island" instead of "in my darkest hour"
Ahhhh ok.
Now I understand.
Devils island sounds different lol
Yeah man I never hear this version of devils Island before.
hahaha
I think it’s the remastered version
Hahaha
5:39 So fucking epic....
you know, in my darkest opinion, maybe only jeff that could nailed that solo really good, but still... its just in my opinion
Well I think he did write it haha. So yes, I agree
Its kind of the same with every other band member that's been in Megadeth and gone. This is the best performance I've found of this song, I checked out one from 92 and from 2010, not even close to this.
Tight performance. Daves parts are actually really fun to play and Jeffs solo was really quite good
3:12 is honestly my favorite riff it's soo fun
He really is. The most underrated guitarist to play in megadeth.
I saw them in 88 open for DIO.....awesome show!!
Everyone talks about marty, but man o man, Jeff Young is a beast this solo is so fucking badass
They were clearly in their prime here. Although it took Marty and Nick to bring their best incarnation. Awesome show anyway, one of their best for sure.
The first megadeth line up was the best
Chris and Gar all the way bud! They were more unique players then Marty and Nick.
@@rogerparsons2474 considering Chris & Gar had played together for years before, they had a special chemistry seen in no other lineup
Gar would've given Dave Lombardo a serious run for his money had he sobered up. He knew improv, and had swing.
*-The Most Important Contribution James And Lars Made Was Infuriating The Crazy Redhead And Making Him Create Megadeth, Thank You.*
Dave's biceps has greatly improved since back then, other skills and talent remain unchanged at a sky high level! Megadeth forever!
congratulations, man, you made the only solo known by mankind that Chris Broderick can't play 100% equal to the original.
Broderick: “ERROR CPU OVER HEAT IMMINENT”
4:47 Angus Young style..
He said rest in peace cliff at the end .... Says it all .... This song was written for cliff burton
Cliff.. its so tragic, to this day..
That RIP Cliff at the end🥲
Dave Legendary Guitar Sound
Devil's Island? The person in charge of that kind of things on that concert really fucked up
I laughted so much when i saw that
He got all songs wrong
that song at that time was not yet released
Devils Island! fuck yeah! XD
One of the most interesting metal songs ever. Highly sophisticated rhythm changes and tonality. Never been that much of a Megadeth fan but this song always gave me the goose bumps.
Exceptional lyrics, which is also highly unusual for a metal song.
The person who wrote that Megadeth was playing Devil's Island was probably much more drunk that Dave Mustaine playing at this concert.
rest in peace cliff :´)
God i gt chills all the time and ive been listening to this song for 3 years now!
probably my favorite live performance of this song
You got to love this !
Great lyrics. You would never know they were about Cliff if you didn't know the backstory.
One of their best themes and tunes.
The best of "In my darkest hour live"
RIP Cliff
Ese final siempre pone los pelos de punta la vdd
This is their best performance of this song that I've found so far on UA-cam. I think it has to do with the line up changes.
Te amo Dave siempre estarás
en mi kokoro
So good
Happy 58th Birthday Cliff you get to spend it with your brother your mother and your father once again
ahh! this is great!
Rest in peace, Cliff

I love Jeff’s guitar tone!
Come here to remember cliffs death we lost a legend on this day
Why is it that even if dave solos aren't as complex or fast, they always sound way cooler and faster
And thrasyer then like the lead
He is one of the best soloers in thrash escene. Most of them are souless. Testament have some epic ones, also almost any Megadeth lead guitar
:'O Rest in Peace Cliff !!! EPIC WIN MUSTAINE!
Rest in Peace Cliff damn man
Rest in peace Cliff

One of the only times you see Dave breaK out the double neck guitar. Does he even bother to do that anymore when they play this?
