Toro Rosso had a restricted V10 to balance performance with the V8 running cars back in 2006 haha. The result was they were actually slower in a straight line, even though they had better torque
Grand Prix Challenge by Infogrames Melbourne House is amazing with a Logitech force feedback wheel and just okay without the wheel. Overall a great game and apparently a hidden gem.
I think an F1 Challenge ‘14 - ‘21 would be sick! 8 seasons, an insane amount of different teams and drivers. Maybe some things that actually happened irl. Sounds like fun tbh😄🙈
Toro Rosso's V10 was highly restricted actually, to the point where they were actually given more power because the V8s were revving to 20,000 in some cases and were better than the restricted Cosworth
How is EA's F1 2001 (visually stunning) & Sony's Formula 1 2002 & 2003 not on this list? Some of the best games in general to me. Although the PS3 version was a safety car away from being perfect to me. I played F1 06 (as PS3 version wasn't out for another 8 months), and thought the graphics (& in 05 too) were quite blurry and terrible. But I remember 05, winning as Raikkonen at Hungaroring. Chasing down Schumacher :P
I really can get your point with F1 99-02. but it shows me what I really miss on Formula 1 Games until nowadays: a real sandbox career mode like on NBA 2K for example, where there is a real management background simulated for every team, with a money budged, expiring sponsor deals, sponsor and owner expectations, changing engine suppliers etc. Drivers all have ratings, the better the ratings the more money they want and the more they want a competive car. Young drivers can develop, old drivers can retire etc. Drivers can get sacked if they fail to live up with the expectations of the team and the owners and then end up in a free agent pool, where they can be Chosen from a team in need of a driver. Also they can change team of they get a bette offer in a better car etc. There also should be car designers, head mechanics, etc with a ratings and contracts. So maybe an Ross Brawn ends up with Sauber because they have a new head sponsor with loads of money and a new head manager with the goal to really make a competitive car, etc. NBA 2K does all that things with over 60 teams and thousands of staff members, coaches, players, etc. Why can’t they work such things out for 10 teams with 20 drivers + a free agent pool (rosberg, sutil, etc) some young drivers and later maybe generated players which can step in for retired drivers. Such things where already all implemented in F1 official team manager from 2000. whey they can’t work out an simplified version for modern F1 Games. The immersion of an drivers career would be so great.
AlexZAfRo Yes I have bought it already and it is a great fun! But my point was a simplified model of things that this management games do in Codemasters F1 games to increase the immersion of the career mode, similar to the players career modes in other sports Simulations like NBA 2K
@@AlexZAfRo Championship Edition is better than nowadays F1 games by laps. Career Mode is a lot more fun, wish if Studio Liverpool would still exist and have the license. Codes games are garbage and monotonous. It's sad that a 15 year old game is still miles ahead of nowaday's. Suprising that people are kind of silent about F1 Championship Edition. IMO it's the best F1 game ever made and Codes know that.
I'm surprised formula one 2001 isn't here as I know that game was highly rated but as you said it seems this is a younger audience as F1 Career Challenge as I know it is definitely the best game on ps2
I never had any problem anyway and only played it on ps2 what your describing probably is the case but didn't bother me in the slightest if that was the case :p it definitely wasnt a simulation game but i had great fun with it, plus without the game I think it would of been a lot longer before we got career modes in F1 games
13:56 gotta close of the year with some top notch banter Alex xD Happy New Year M8! Looking forward to the vids coming in the new year! ps. I would love to see Top 5 Bottles of the AfRo League without including me. (Not like you were ever gonna include me anyways).
I won a race as Roberto Moreno in a Forti-Ford. Murray Walker went crazy in the commentary!! I love that they programmed that in!! He similarly went crazy when I came second in the championship as Ukyo Katayama in a Tyrrell.
And i did somekind of mydriver on it, (only text ad pictures) , in my game Senna went back to mclaren and retired at 99, after a title fight with me, hakkinen and schumacher :)
MMGaming not sure what this is suppose to mean 😅 I run ads yes, I have ran ads since 2012. I know they can be annoying but it’s a small way of helping me keep videos going by upgrading equipment etc 😀
Yes F106 is for the PS2 and Studio Liverpool kind of remastered it for the PS3, that being called F1 Championship Edition as they sadly lost the license. Honestly in my opinion the old Sony F1 games are better than nowadays Codes games.
AlexZAfRo i think it was 99, it is the best formula one game because it was my first formula one game and the commentator was so idiotic that it was funny
Toro Rosso had a restricted V10 to balance performance with the V8 running cars back in 2006 haha. The result was they were actually slower in a straight line, even though they had better torque
oh, hahah xD
Only 17 K rpm, it was unplayable XD
F1 2001 for life
STRYKA FPV I used to love that! Did a career mode on the pc version as well!
You mean the Studio Liverpool version right?
JDINCINERATOR Yes m8
@@jdbruiser I bloody loved the SCE version. Menu music was a bop
Did someone say Grand Prix Challenge?
For me, that is the best f1 game on the ps2.

You have that on PC, you have a mod for all F1 seasons in PC version of the game.

AlexZAfRo basically every UA-camr gets demonized every vid no matter how clean the content is
ohhh yeah I have been lucky I have never been demonetized on any video!
F1 99-02 could someone please send me a link if possible as I'm looking at buying it but want to make sure I get the right game lol
F1 2006 was the best by far
I was unfortunate enough to play f1 2006 first, makes the others much less enjoyable despite the v10s.
F1 2006 is the best of all time in consoles. It has physics like Gran Turismo. And Codemasters is garbage off a arcade generic thing.
6 years late but im tired of f123 need a older one lol
Is 2006 for ps2?
There was a version for PS2, I think is was also called championship edition
