I've made that promise to a couple of causes too. One is a company that goes around drilling wells for villages that don't have a source of clean water. Thanks! I can't give much, but I just LOVE your show. It rarely comes up on my feed, but you guys explain things with such clarity! When I want to understand things better than I can on my own by reading, I come to your channel. Thanks so much!😀👓
I was very generous with my donations to causes I believe in, previously. I had a great job and made ample money. Financial situations changed, and I had to cut back. I removed most of my Patreon giving, trimming it down to what I thought were the few that really deserved it. SciShow is one of the few I kept. It and giving money to my local food bank are the two I am most proud of. Think on that. I rank you as (roughly) equivalent to feeding hungry children. Keep up the good work. ❤
Hank you are my favorite presenter. Glad to know you are the founder. I also knew the balloon would not pop. You can boil water in tree bark as long as you keep the flame below the water line. So the balloon would not get hot enough to pop as long as you kept the laser below the water line. Next time try adding some air to the balloon and have the laser hit it above the water.
I saw a video where someone cooked soup over an open fire in a plastic trash bag. The water does an exceptional job at absorbing heat and keep the plastic temperature below its melting point. This same effect is likely happening with your balloon.
I appreciate you and all of SciShow. Even though I don't have any to spare, I didn't mind the clickbait. I wish you the best of luck. I can see how doing that yourself made it worse.
I love what you and your team do. We need this more now than ever. I wish I could contribute, but because I can't, I am liking, commenting, and sharing.

4:55 “uwu there’s a wet spot on my chair”
I appreciate you guys' willingness to communicate this need
You guys helped me during med school, by easing my understanding of so many concepts within the human body. It is a small donation as I myself is a bit low on cash right now, but PLEASE keep doing the good work you do. Best wishes from Denmark
Okay Hank, I'll send you a few more bucks. Sincerely, thank you for all you and the team do, you're a light for me in these difficult times.
0:12 44!, yeah, sure and I'm the queen of england.
Nobody believes he is a single day over fantastic
Guess that also make me the Prince of Monaco
Hey, we’re the same age.
It's crazy his cancer treatment made his hair curly, it has made him look even more youthful!
RIP Sam, your majesty will be missed, and forgotten in 20 hours
2:06 Latent heat of vaporisation strikes again!
With the magic of buying two of them?
I love that what seems like a VlogBrothers video was posted on SciShow.
Currently I'm too poor for postcards but I deeply appreciate all that you guys do and I'm happy to contribute what I can now and hopefully in the future too. Thank you for all the time and dedication and I hope you can continue to provide phenomenal educational content!!
I do not have money to give, but I know that every time I watch a video of a channel like this that I care about, a bit of money goes to them. I will continue to watch, and be a very small part of something great that exists on the internet, made possible by a team of smart and dedicated people. Thank you for SciShow, and for all your other cool projects of knowledge :)
Thanks! I can't give much, but I just LOVE your show. It rarely comes up on my feed, but you guys explain things with such clarity! When I want to understand things better than I can on my own by reading, I come to your channel. Thanks so much!😀👓
wow that exploxin at 2:00 was epic
"I'm 44, I'm making better decisions!"
Me: uh oh.
Me, after watching the ending: ... yep
Considering that scishow singlehandedly got me and many others through high school science class, i'd say it's pretty important
A big thanks to the entire SciShow team!

I wouldn't recommend eating that. Micro plastics are likely imo from the heated trash bag.
If I had extra money I would absolutely give some, but I cannot justify it at this point. Thank you for all the free content
Somebody has been watching spliffing brit. 😂
I just listed a bunch of the seo keywords form that video to try and boost the reach of this one
Title and thumbnail were chef's kiss. If anyone out there wants to donate to somerhing good, definitely these guys. Im hoping once Im more settled I can contribute, but for now i watch your video in full, engage, like and I talk about you. I know it doesnt keep the lights on, but my heart is there. Wishing you guys all the luck with the fundraising. ❤
For any future historians who are wondering, I did watch this video inside the 24h limit
Thank you and your team for all the weird, crazy, fun, interesting and most importantly educational videos!
Just bought a postcard and I can't wait to be reminded of it in 2-6 weeks from now.
Can't spring for a postcard right now, but I do appreciate you and your team 🙂
Wow when that balloon popped around 2:00 I was not expecting that
Delete me science father.
I've been a scishow fan since childhood, watching your videos has been a key part in influencing and strengthening my love and passion to science, this year I finally started university studying biochemistry, I will definitely buy a postcard, and I'm waiting for the moment I'm enough financially stable to become a patreon, thank you for everyone who are a part of this amazing channel❤️

Its not much, and its certainly not a post card purchase, but you've literally raised me in my understanding of science. I remember being in early middle school watching some of these videos, I'm in College now. Much love from Nor Cal!!
