@@OTPulse it was close to 90 degrees here. The grid demand was there. But the wind was outrageous. This happens a lot at the Wichita mts too. They’ll shut down the turbines when the wind blows over x mph.
That is a pitiful situation at the Cherokee Travel Center. I drive past there all the time when headed to Weatherford to visit my Dad. Luckily, there is a Tesla Supercharger in Weatherford behind Lucille's Roadhouse if I need a brief charge for my Model Y. It's only a 150kW site, but at least it is reliable... although I do see one post was down a few weeks ago.
Great video. So sad about Francis fast charging. I live in North Carolina. I routinely drive thru West Virginia which has no fast charging. Future trips include driving thru Kentucky. Kentucky has no fast charging. I kept my Chevy Impala for road trips because I can't drive Jiselle the Ioniq 6 yet in those states. So pathetic is the situation.
as far as the wind turbines go...appears to be no wind on your first clip with them then when you come back and say they all turned on at once that would be some wind moving into the area
Always fun watching you and Duck! Obviously Francis is all about scooping up government grant money and nothing else. Did you get your level 2 charging issue solved?
No Its still overheating. I plan on going to the dealer and asking for a new charge port but I got to find the time to do that since this is my only car.
This is just about what I expected. The Flo units are pretty tough. The only downside to them is they aren’t as powerful at 100kW. If Flo could make a 200kW unit which uses a similarly passively cooled cable that does 300 amps continuous with a overboost to 500 amps that would be a good reliable alternative to the garbage BTC HP units. Francis has been claiming they are upgrading the site in Enid which makes me believe someday they will rip and replace all the BTC with “upgraded units” which I’m guessing would be SK Signet. We as consumers are unfortunately getting total radio silence on the whole deal though.
wind turbines shut down generally for one of two reasons. No wind, or windspeed too high.
They can stop them if the energy demand isn't there.

If francis was reliable Oklahoma would have great charging coverage..
Yeah I believe we're in the top 10 in the country for DC fast charging and we have been for a few years It's just they all quit working 😂
