Hey Luke. Wanted to save you some trouble later. Dig a trench from the little creek all the way back to the boat so that it pitches down towards the creek. Deep enough so that any water will run from under the boat to the creek. Get a "French Drain Pipe. A PVC pipe with lots of holes and a fabric sock over it. Your discovery of the beautiful wood on the stern reminds me of my parent's house. When they first got it in the late '70s all the woodwork was painted. My parents decided to strip the paint before adding yet another layer of paint. Only to find knot less golden oak under all that paint. They chemically stripped it (to get the paint out of the grain) and polyurethaned the wood instead.

YOU KNOW it was a long ass week for Luke when he has a hour long video !!! You know he was busy af all week last week and was scrambling to get his stuff together for the season. They should be pulling crabs up already if not any day now lol
You should close in all the back of the boat and just put a large opening side door that folds up like a merch trailer. That way you can ac the inside. Turn the cabin into the freezer for the crabs install the Mr. Cool system on there.
Love it! I can't wait to come see it next time I'm up that way. It's the perfect way to immortalize that old boat and it will surely become a landmark to the area! 🦀👍

When your crab stand is open, I'm going to take a road trip from Central Texas to see it, buy merch, and hopefully meet you guys. Your channel is one of the most amazing ones. I am so blessed to have come across it. Thank you for doing what you do.
You need some huge flags mounted on top to help capture attention from the road. Maybe a big ass crabb attached to the cabin of the boat. Definatly need some ship yard rope to lace those poles with out front. And some old netting. Other than that, it looks awesome.
My grandfather was a lobster fisherman in Nova Scotia 🇨🇦 many many years ago. He did something similar to what your doing, but when he cut into bottom of the boat for drainage, he added wire mesh over the holes to keep the critters 🐀 from moving in.
All you need for that roof is a 5 gal bucket of elastomeric sealant. Make it white so it reflects heat during the summer. If you want to be really industrious, once you seal the roof, get metal rails and buy a bunch of solar panels from Harbor Freight so that you save money on electricity to keep the crab cooler running. Also, you need to patch up those holes on the bottom or you will get rats and other vermin under your floor boards.
I live on the Mississippi gulf coast and before hurricane Katrina destroyed the entire coast, there was a shrimp boat that floated up during hurricane Camille. It was converted into a gift shop right on the coast highway on the beach. It was the most popular gift shop on the coast without a doubt, people came just to see it. Your shop will be popular no doubt, it’s different. Great job and great thinking out of the box.

I hope this prints money for you and is just the start of something truly amazing and huge. I have a feeling it will be… No one deserves it more. Keep going and showing them how it’s done. I’ll be rooting for you from NYC.
You should put plywood up on the starboard side. 1. It will block the wind if bad weather comes along, 2. You can put up a price list on it, 3, you can hang up the T-Shirts all along it with other merch. Congratulations on touchdown!!!
Crazy cool!!! Suggestion: Place the cooler box in such a way so you can access it by means of a gang-plank or a faux dock. Well done! So excited for you!
I'm a 67-year-old country girl in Viginia. The way you work on things is exactly the way I do! I'm so glad I'm not the only person to work like this. I found your by scrolling, and immediately subscribe.....and I dont like crab meat! 😂❤❤❤
Get about 6 cases of blue spray paint, get some buddies and have a paint party. Spray the rock area around the hull to give it the effect of sitting on the water. Over time, the rocks will get moved around and it will give the foam effect on the water.
You should see about tinting the windows of the boat for some privacy and it will help keep it cool for you as an office space. Get a portable ac unit for a couple hundred bucks. Get some of those mounted fans that you can put up and wire in some electric outlets. Then just run it to a plug that you can plug in a generator to give it power.
Luke, I really like watching you work your way out of a problem. My uncle had a Navy friend that was a waterman out of Tilghman and spent my share of time on the bay around Tilghman, and the Choptank fishing for Rock, and Blues. I just love the Chesapeake.
Truly love all your content Luke. Passion, setbacks, achievements, heartaches, and the high of highs. Life is life. But waterman make the world go around.
I see how handy those little battery chainsaws are now. If you want a Gas saw and I've ran a lot of different saws over the years and the quietest for just occasional use, in my opinion, is an Echo. If you're going to use it very much, though go with a STIHL. Favorite woodworking tool.......4inch gringer with 80 grit sanding pad.
Amazing work You need a big crab sign above the roof mounted to the wood roof beam up top. Maybe add some lights onto the roof shining down to customers.
I had to laugh at your repair on the gunwale . I had the same problem on a fiberglass 40-footer that I had that was going to be a major project and also a very expensive one . I bought a rubber step with a stainless steel Edge and put them on both sides of the boat and everyone told me what a great idea that was . No one was aware of the problem underneath of it. I had the boat for 12 years and sold it like that it is probably still looking good today.
Cool conversion! Can't wait to see it on the street. I drive by there all the time. It looks like you might need to build a deck next to it for your customers.
I’ve been looking to buy my first boat for so long and you have motivated me to keep pursuing my goals to be a boat owner. I might not be able to afford the best boat but a boat is a boat just as long as you’re stressing and having fun all at the same time. Keep up the good work bud!
Dude that came out awesome! I wasnt expecting to see it in place at the end! If I didnt live on the other side of the country i would definitely come see it and buy some crab. Nice work! Wish you well make and thanks for sharing.

GJ man! You're an inspiration to all others trying to make it happen for yourself instead of succumbing to the daily 9-5 grind, and your funny to boot. Keep up the good work!
Excellent idea. I’d just recommend creating a drainage channel from the huge sump you’ve just created under the boat to the drainage ditch next to the boat. Otherwise there will be a huge puddle on the inside of your store.
You've created a landmark. People will be giving directions: "Just go down East Furnace til you see a big boat on the right...we're just two blocks past that..."

Good job! You are a dedicated and hard working young man. I’m glad to support you and any other “buy local” person.
Congratulations, Leo and Crew. I've been with you since the release of the first video. May you have fair winds and following seas.
Luke, that is an awesome project you have completed. Looks great and people will come from miles and miles to see at buy your crabs. Well done!!!
Dude it looks so good. Was so satisfying to see it sitting, flush, with all the dirt and gravel graded around it. Nice job man!
Amazing work
You need a big crab sign above the roof mounted to the wood roof beam up top.
Beautiful job! Looks like it's sailing on blue gravel, add some white gravel at the bow and it would look amazingly realistic.
Cool conversion! Can't wait to see it on the street. I drive by there all the time. It looks like you might need to build a deck next to it for your customers.
Wow your hard work will pay off big time. Looks great. The young generation can learn from you but very few have your guts and determination. Jonn
She looks awesome on the lot. Great job putting her together and thinking outside the box.
I’ve been looking to buy my first boat for so long and you have motivated me to keep pursuing my goals to be a boat owner. I might not be able to afford the best boat but a boat is a boat just as long as you’re stressing and having fun all at the same time. Keep up the good work bud!
Also, let me know if you have any Richardson 112 hats for sale. I’ll make sure to buy each design you have to contribute to your success.
Dude that came out awesome! I wasnt expecting to see it in place at the end! If I didnt live on the other side of the country i would definitely come see it and buy some crab. Nice work! Wish you well make and thanks for sharing.
I think I just accidentally found you but ever since I found you, I watch every video you put out very good content. I love your hustle. Keep doing what you do. Tiny Houston MS
Thank you Total Boat! You’ve helped me out on my own boat projects and I appreciate you helping out this special project.
Awesome job Luke. I love your can do spirit and the way you aren't afraid to fake it to make it. Total American can do spirit.
I'm from Cape Breton,Nova Scotia. Born and raised by the ocean, living in Saskatchewan Canada. I miss the water and really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work 👍
Thanks for keeping up with them!
