Loved this one. Took less than 9 minutes and a minute less in medium. I do hope they input an "impossible" mode for NYT. Edit: at the first column, when I got the 26 pair, the column needed 45789. In row 2, 4578 is pointing. That gave a naked single 9.
I'm not a big fan of the ways classic sudoku is made harder. It's a limitation of the format. If you want puzzles that stretch the brain more in interesting ways, I'd recommend hand-crafted sudoku variants.
@@Rangsk I see the problem, unless a very difficult classic is handmade, then it becomes not fun with ridiculous eliminations that only computers can find. I am so used to classics though, and feel a bit overwhelmed with the rules of variants- I just don’t know what these kropki, German whispers, etc are or where to start. I wish I did, as I’d get so much more from the discord! Could you perhaps do an intro and example puzzle of some of the more common ones please?
